Default Bogging problem -automatic teg

so my GF's mothers automatic integra is running into some problems right now

and honestly I'm stumped on this one

so when it starts off, it bogs for a few seconds then runs fine after it shifts again, it bogs and runs fine again.... what could it be?

could be dozens of things.. is it misfiring? starving for fuel? etc.

i got more to the story ... in a way it makes me mad too since when i got this car for my GF's mom the motor was running mint... apparently when the car was over heating due to a leaking rad she drove it all the way to the shop, for how long i dont know...

as well last night i pulled up a code P0304 = Cyl. 4 misfire

so im taking a wild guess that she cooked the piston rings? maybe she's losing compression?

all i know is her mom got all defensive when i got my GF to ask her how long did she drive the car when it was overheating.... *sigh*

My advice would be that if you aren't too involved at this point, walk away. Let her deal with the fact that she contributed to ------- her car up and now she's gotta pay.

Chances are that its not as serious as rings, etc...

Figure out the misfire first and go from there. I'll second Kloos's concern about the tranny fluid... If it hasn't been changed in a long time, do that as well.

Transmission was flushed with honda ATF when we just picked up the car a few months ago, transmission actaully shifts smoother then my own integra.

Going to take out the spark plugs out and check the oil tonight.
