body work
ok heres the situation. You take your car into the shop. u pay 2500 upfront to get it fixed, painted, dents pulld etc etc. u give them 2 weeks. they tell you its going to be perfect. they work on it for 3 days. and it becomes a total hackjob. in total you pay 4grand for it. so then you go back for repairs since it looks like ----..and they want an extra 750$ to not even fix everything thats wrong. would you pay? or sue them? and they accuse you of rushing them. this is a cash situation. what would you do?

i would be pissed to the max and then i would call City news and get silverman to help me, its worked in the past for ppl you should try it to, you should tell them that you'll go to the press unless they dont do what they were supposed to, other than that you should try and get money back, no i wouldnt pay more than what was quoted its not your problem they miss-quoted you

Too many body shops are run by shady hack job artists. Finding a good one is worth its weight in gold. Raj at Discovery Auto in Mississauga is the only place I use and the only person I send people to since his work is top shelf. No one has ever had anything bad to say yet. Good luck with your ride. If it was me, I'd be in every day bugging them to fix it under warrantee and if they agree then I'd be in there every day making sure it's done right. Sucks to be a pain in the ***, but sometimes it's the only way. Take lots of photos and document the work and write down and record everything you can so you can start putting together evidence for small claims court. Good luck.

First mistake was you paid cash before work was even started on your car. I only pay after the work is completed. If they cannot accept that, I take my business elsewhere.
Secondly, they must be pretty bad if they were $1500 off from their estimate price Usually an estimate is a couple of hundred dollars(+/-) from the actual cost. I would not have paid $4000, I can tell you that.
Too bad all shady paintshops can't just burn to the ground.

to sue.... or take them to small claims court would take forever... but it may get the job done in the end..... I would call a few people in the media... if you can't recoupe your finances then atleast you can destroy what little reputation they may have. I greee with the above that you should have never paid up front... never a good idea... esp. with a cash deal. somtimes payin the 14% is worth the lack of headache in the end. With all this said paying 4g's for body work come with a certain expectation in my eyes... one that clearly has not been met in your eyes. I would keep on who ever did the work day and night for a few days.... see if they cave and repair their work....clearly they know its ----....they just don't want to spend the time/$ to fix it..... they have your $ already it's an up hill battle for you....
-bug them daily..see what happens
-go there with some of your bigger friends.... see what happens
-threaten to contact the media.... "
-contact the media...
good luck and post up some pic's.... lets see what your talking about...

I'll put some pics up soon, and they agreed to fix everythign, except the door ripples, shitty hatch work, theres even a hole! n they refused to fix it, untill i said i'll pay 800$ for all the triming. I've kept on them daily. their new guy is pretty good..so im hoping he'll do a good job. now with paying them 800..i think thats a bit much, and also they fried one of my speakers, broke interior 1/4 panel peice, fried the tail light bulb sockets, scratched the ---- out of my sunroof..i thought maybe gettin it fixed..and depending how it looks is how i pay. anyone have any info on the better business bureu, and any news stations around Guelph that might deal with this crap?
And they should pay me for all the stuff they fucked up shouldnt they? also the 1/4 panel dents..are apparently done by people's elbows..all 15 dents, and apparently every thing thats peeling must have been someone hitting the car with something.
