Blower motor question
alrighty.. thought my resistor went.. i dont think thats the case.. if i hit a hard enough bump on the road itll come on.. i know my first and last speeds are done, but 2nd and 3rd work.. sometimes.. lol is this common on theses cars? anyone had this happen or know whats wrong? its a **** off when i got frost on my windshield
lol
lol
What Martin said, the relay's are usually the thing that goes...my dad had this in his malibu only 4 and 5 was working. changed the relay and everything works perfect now. cost him i think 20-25$ for the relay.
i tried to find the relay, but i cant seem to find it lol its probably right infront of my face but i havent had luck, iv googled it and people say its under the intake manifold to the left but only thing i see is the speedo cable from the tranny.. :S
Don't know about the DA, but for the malibu it was located inside under the dash. I would believe it's in the same location for a DA don't think it be under the hood...forgive me if I'm wrong.
oh well the relay for my moms GA was under the hood, lol i duno, i checked the heater motor fuse, its brand new... i havent taken out the blower fan yet to check it out, it was -23 today and said ---- it lol but how many bolts is it to take out? anyone know, it looks WAY more complicated than my grandprix.. and by the looks of it, almost seems like i have to take the whole dash out to get it out.. becuase of clearance, not much room what so ever for it to drop down...
oh and.. duno if this has happen to anyone else.. but when the fan did work, it was quite loud.. like a wizzing noise... hard to explain but the blower fan was much louder than its suppose to..

Hey i Just fixed my blower motor and relay a couple of weeks ago on my 91 gs and the relay is right under the dash. Its connected to a white box with two screws and its facing into the box with a wire connecting to the blower motor. Its pretty simple to change just un-clip the harness and 2 screws.
