Default B18c transmission recommendation

hey everyone, i currently have a b18c in my gsr and im in need of a new tranny.. i'm just not sure what my best option is. i was looking on torontoJDM.com and i am considering buying a b16 tranny here http://www.torontojdm.com/lite/cart....ategory_id=103 which i hears a good choice, or an ITR tranny http://www.torontojdm.com/lite/cart....ategory_id=103 which is pretty pricey, or would it be more effective to stick with a gsr tranny? http://www.torontojdm.com/lite/cart....ategory_id=103

any suggestions are much appreciated

All the those transmissions are short gears, so if you don't mind getting about 400 km's to a tank to go for them. They are stronger then a LS transmission, just they have shorter gears. The ITR has the shortest gears of them all, next its the GS-R, and then the SI-R. I like the GS-R my self, but they are a little pricey.

Yes like spike said if you want to save on gas get an ls but if your looking for the best itr tranny with LSD. Then you got a gsr which is great and decent. All depends what you want lol.

Yes what the two above me has stated... it's all about what you want, and your plans for the car. Are you going N/A, or FI? If it's N/A the shorter the better, performance wise. If it's FI you would want longer gears, LS, and GSR trannies would be ideal.

Just a FYI, the b16's are known to have weak synchros, and a weak open differential (No LSD installed) as well. The more power your car has the higher chances that it will break.

The GSR and ITR have stronger ones, the ITR comes w/ dual synchro's for every gear.
