hey guys i just got a 2000 type R and i have a dc header on my 93 gsr. will it fit on the type R?

Buff4Prez Yo 04-26-2007 01:52 PM

yup

Smartass pHO 04-26-2007 02:45 PM

nope

born2board69 04-26-2007 03:51 PM

yes? no? maybe so?

aha yea bro it should fit but where it meets up with the cat it might be to short or 2 long so you may need to either lengthen the b pipe or shorten it. Not sure how close it would be

keep in mind the b16a (and b17a) have a shorter deck height than your b18c, so depending on the design of the header to probably want to keep your fingers crossed it that it clears the oil pan.

the b17 header will definitely hit the oil pan on a b18c block.

b/c the whole 9mm taller deck height of the b18c will even make a difference (NOT).
I've used a header off my b16 on a LS integra without any problems (other than the collector flange being on a different angle than the LS's catylitic converter flange).
And i know the ITR has a 212.39mm deck height VS the b18a/b deck height of 211.84mm VS the b16/b17's deck height of 203.25mm.

Unless your b16 header hugs the oil pan (clearance of less than 10mm or 1cm) than it will fit the ITR/GSR/LS block....trust me.
