Default Anyone have Major Noise issues with Powerslot Rotors???

I recently installed powerslotted rotors with pbr metalmaster pads all around and for some reason my front passenger side is making serious noise when my car slows down at a stop. Its almost a clunking... i brought it to my mechanic and he just said its cause of the slots on the rotor but if thats the case why isnt it doing it on all of them? He doubled checked the caliper and it had completely free movement and i think he was looking at me as if i was clueless... but this noise is embarrassing and can be heard up the street when i'm braking. Its been over a month now and it hasnt gone away... i dont know if they require some serious break in period or if they just plain suck and i should replace them with oem blanks... Anyone else have this problem?

They shouldnt be that loud, usually performance rotors are a little noisy during the break in period. But if your getting that after a month, maybe you should go to another mechanic.

try out a set of blanks and see if it goes away.

they shoulden't make a clunking noise. what's the condition on your ball joints?

ball joint was just replaced a couple months ago by Dave...I think if the noise doesnt go away in the next week or so i'll be picking up a set of blanks for the front. Its odd because i had powerslot on my car before with no problems at all.

clunking could also be your stabilizer links. maybe ur right side is bad should check that out.

Is it possible that the pbr metal master pads are too hard for the powerslot rotors?? Some parts guy just mentioned that maybe it should be a softer pad but i had the exact same combo on last time for a couple years with absolutely no problems.

does it make a sound when lightly braking to a stop? Does is do it when you hard brake? is the noise in pace with the revolutions of the wheel? Could be something as simple as the retainer clips for the pads... my front right is doing something similar....i put on slotted kvr's. gonna get at it tonight...

the sound is moreso when you brake the most just before your vehicle completely stops and yes i believe the noise is possibly in pace with the revolutions of the wheel. Mine too is on the right side of the car in the front but i took it back to the mechanic and he took everything out and examined it and couldnt find anything wrong but the noise is really loud and pretty embarassing as i come to a stop. I just emailed the powerslot rotor company to find out if its possible that the pads are too hard for that type of rotor..... although i had the same before with no problems and it seems to be only coming from the right side.

Brought my car into a second mechanic and my problem was quickly diagnosed as a warped rotor... so beware! lol My only hope is they warranty it considering its only been on the car since february 25th.
