Default any vtec swap suggestions

hey guys i'm thinking of doing an LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC swap. i researched alot but mostly got forums and din really find them that helpful. i need a serious build so give me some suggestions of some sites tat have deep info. On some forums some ppl dabating on how it leaks oil and some say very ridiculous things. i personally favour vtec swaps but i just wanna get info from different sources so i can diagnose pros and cons according to my needs and budget.
thanx

first off, i recommend the Golden Eagle LS/Vtec kit...saves alot of drilling and other machine work. second, Honda-tech has all the info you need for an LS/vtec build i did alot of research myself and found it quite handy. alot of ppl say you should use a girdle from a GSR to prevent you from spinning a bearing or shooting a rod thru your block. you should also get the bottom end balanced too

This is for the DIY's like myself....

They have a LS/vtec build up and other things to get your Honda tuned.
They are more technical there.

I run a B20Vtec. I had it put together by Paul at Splitfire. I highly recomend you use him to put yours together. I've been running ITR motors in my car for about the last 4 years. After breaking 2 ITR bottom ends I decided to try something cheaper. My B20 bottomend cost me 950 bucks so 3 of those would give me 1 ITR bottom end. Once installed I put down 10 more hp and 10 more ft pnds or torque. The car blow no smoke and after 3 - 5 season races and 2 lapping days the bearings were checked before the car went into storage and they show no wear.

Here's a thread on the HADA board about it:

The biggest issue is the larger pistons and thinner walls. When revved higher, it's more strain on the rods and the heat generated from the thin walls has been known to crack. I block guard, oil cooler and crank case breather are recomended as is a good tune. If you bring the parts to Paul he'll charge you 1000 to install all the bits, including grinding the stock pistons for clearance of the head, plumb the oil feed for the vtec, and a good dyno tune to make sure you have a strong safe AF curve. It's well worth it for piece of mind alone. He's built many of these and knows how to make power from them. And running an 8 second civic competitively - you can trust him to keep it together. If you have any questions just shoot me an PM.
