alternator or battery...help!
hey guys haven't posed in a long time. been to busy with skewl. quick question tho. i've had my car stored for a while now. and i took it out for a spin. the problem is i boosted my car drove it around for almost an hour, and as soon as i turned off the engine the battery is dead. everytime i start the car i have to boost the battery first. Is this my alternator being dead and not being able to charge my battery, or my battery being dead not being able to hold a charge? Thanks

It's most likely your battery... it's probably just having a hard time holding charge after sitting dormant for so long. The best thing to do is put it on a slow, deep cycle charger to get it up to a good voltage. Don't expect you alternator to charge it up enough, you actually might be putting too much strain on it and you might need to replace that in the end too haha.
Good luck
