Default All my dashboard lights wont turn on

previous owner of my car had some wires tucked above where the gas/clutch/brake pedals are. almost caused a fire, it was sparking and caused smoke when i was driving. the smoke came from behind the deck so i pulled it out immediately adn may have pulled some wires. Can anyone tell me what wires(colours if possible) are for the light behind my cluster, and for my fan and stuff? At this moment I cant drive at night without having one of my interior lights on to see the speed lol.

Also my deck isnt friggin turning on either... its such a **** off driving with no tunes.

start off by checking the fuses under your dash and hood. if those are good then get out a tester and start to see if you are getting power to the power wiers (red or yellow) behind your deck.

make sure the black wire is properly grounded also to see if the cd player uses a harness, if so make sure all the wires are taped properly, check fuses, and make sure you battery is disconnected before attempting to do anything,.

ok I checked my fuse its fine, stupid thing wont work. Its pissing the crap out oif me. I got my deck working, but still no light. my interior map light and clock work still. its just the one which goes from the speedometer cluster, to the AC and fan *****. Maybe someone at the meet would be able to help me out. If you saw all the friggin messed up wires behind my deck you would know how much of a mess the guy before me did.

What wires behind the deck would affect the dash lights anyways?

check your DRL box..
you can;t see anything at night right?
like my accord the DRL(day time running lights) box is dirty and had some sort of black stains on it because of it my DRL wasn't work.. so my whole cluster had no light when i turned my lights on at night..

try the dimming switch for the interior dash light on the left hand side of the steering wheel, you could have rubbed against it and dimmed it all the way and it wont turn on till you turn it back up. its an issue i get almost everyday at work. people do accidently bump it every once and awhile , especially with working under the dash and holding on to it when leaning under.
