Default 97 ITR Lip Same As JDM ITR Lip?

Some Douche stole my OEM 97 ITR lip and now I can't find an OEM one!

A question I've always asked myself is "will a JDM OEM ITR lip fit on a 97 ITR?"

When looking at both lips they look IDENTICAL and if I was to order an OEM Lip from Acura they have to get it from Japan... So I'm wondering if I'm right about both lips being the same?

Anyone know the answer?

A JDM DC2 front end isn't the same bumper as a USDM 97 ITR bumper though

I'm rocking a 97 DC4 and bought a usdm JDM ITR front lip and it fits perfect. Mind you, you need to be able to space the lip down a bit so it all flows with the body line of the bumper. I used sticky weights

Really now......hmmm Didnt know it fit at all...Mika, front pic with the lip on please?

. Also, do you mind sharing details of where it was stolen? We can try and look out for the parts and also it will help us be careful around the area.

I live downtown Toronto but it was taken from the parts shed from my cousin's auto collision shop at Highway 7 and Jane.

Oh well I'll give it a try. I'll buy an OEM JDM ITR lip and see how it fits. I'll keep you guys posted on the results

I thought it wouldn't fit that well since the style of the two lips are different.

I bought a OEM JDM Lip today and it seems to fit perfectly when I hold it under the lower bumper assembly except for the plastic brackets on the left and right of the inside contours. I'm going to cut them off and see how the fit is. FINGERS CROSSED.

P.S.
If anyone sees an USDM OEM 97 ITR for sale that's probably mine. If you could let me know it would be MUCH appreciated.

No no no, don't cut those brackets off!! They will give you the spacing you need otherwise the lip will sit ------- funky. Trust me on that, my left side one is missing a rivet on the bracket so it's ziptied back onto the lip. It will space the lip out so its not wedged hard against the bumper.

But the JDM front end is flat under the front bumper and the USDM 97 front has those black extended pieces where the corners are. You sure I don't need to cut it? Because it seemed that the plastic pieces on the corners of the JDM lip were preventing it to fit properly on my bumper... Trust me I don't want to cut it, it's only if i HAVE to... I'll take a better and more thorough look at it tomorrow at the shop and hopefully I'm wrong

Get me some pics and I'll do the same tomorrow. Mine went on flawlessly so dunno if maybe yours is slightly different in some way?
