***The Official D.T.P. Thread***

Need help with your Honda/Acura?
Need a question answered?
Need work done on your ride?

We are D.T.P and we are here to help!

How D.T.P became to be....

Martin started by helping out local friends, people on the forum(s) and then started getting recognition through word of mouth. Martin helps out anyone and everyone that has a passion for cars and wants to learn. We are growing each and everyday.D.T.P has done MANY successful engine swaps, intake/exhaust manifold installs, brake jobs, and much much more.

What is D.T.P?

Stands for "Duct Tape Performance" and is owned by Martin. Don't let the name fool you, although Duct Tape is AWESOME,... we don't fix cars with it:giggle:

D.T.P does everything from simple oil changes, bulbs replacements and tune-ups to the bigger stuff like engine swaps, clutch jobs and even interior/engine detailing.

Where is D.T.P?

We are located in Vaughn, but we are mobile too. Just give us a link and we can help you out.

Did you get work done at D.T.P?

If so, we would like to thank you and please feel free to post up any and all feedback.

although i am not an "official D.T.P member" i am glad to offer my help when ever needed. if ryan will be there i will likely be too. And as im sure many saw on the sunday im not afraid to get a little greasy. Martin you do a fantastic job and its great to see someone who expects nothing in return and just likes to help people. Even if you dont know exactly how its done you are very determined to learn how and help others learn to! D.T.P is exactly what every forum needs! congrats boys on a great little community!

3sgte@daspeedof 09-21-2010 08:40 PM

Can I join too!!!!!

D.T.P 09-21-2010 11:06 PM

Dtp stickers are in progress.

You don't join dtp, I just help you with what you need. Though I DO ask something in return. Beer!! Lol but you can have some as we work on your car.

Always up to meet people, show everybody that you don't need to take your car to a shop to get simple things done.

To top it all off, if you don't know me in person, don't be shy to pm me with questions. I am a student in centennial college going for power motive technician diploma, so I am receiving formal education, though there is nothing I haven't done on these cars prior to that.
So I can be trusted ;)

(Ryan - don't worry about it... ;) )

3sgte@daspeedof 09-22-2010 08:16 AM

What I meant to say is I wouldn't mind lending a hand to help out too!! And beer is good, so is some good food :P

Vida 09-22-2010 10:09 PM

Martin Changed my suspension over 5 TIMES!!!!! WITH NO POWER TOOLS!!

In my driveway in 30 degree weather with a beer. Always on time, hell hes at my house before I am.
DTP FTW

May I join the ranks of DTP guys? As I was one of the first evaaaar to get work done.

PS. WHAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAPUN martin with the stickers. Need to get around to that mayne

Im thinking of just calling up Shinzo and see what designs they come up so we can get some samples. Then we can contribute to help the TI community.

3sgte@daspeedof 09-23-2010 10:52 AM

Nizmo you should have put Fried chicken, I wouldn't have been offended

D.T.P 09-23-2010 10:09 PM

Stickers are in.

lol David, though yes i did your suspension about a million times, the last few times were not fun. Hot summer days suck!

AcuratePaul 09-23-2010 11:02 PM

robert.2010 09-26-2010 01:39 AM

They say nice guys finish last i think u guys are great but in the real world this is a very cut throat business. Its nice to see good people still exist you have giving me faith in the Acura and Honda World. Stay real and i hope good karma will come back to all of you one day stay greasy guys and gals.

D.T.P 10-26-2010 12:04 PM

Unfortunately due to the fact that I don't have vendor status, I'm not allowed to advertise nor "charge" people for the help I provide. That being said, I will not be buying a vendor licence and since its against the rules to "lure" business away from the shops that overcharge for most jobs, there shall be no updates and postings of dtp jobs.

Thanks for support. Much appreciate it.

nizmo 10-26-2010 02:29 PM

Sorry to hear Martin, whatever happened to helping out a broke student? Or doing a service for people who dont have the means to pay a hefty car service bill?

This thread was designed to "help" those who were less-educated in the automotive field, thats it. And maybe make this website grow when people see how this community is working together. No matter... rules are rules i guess. It just sucks when good people try to help others....and get shut down.

AcuratePaul 10-26-2010 03:50 PM

Oh man this blows....display your cell phone number :yeah:

D.T.P 10-26-2010 05:10 PM

PM is always good, I'm on here daily.

ignazty 11-02-2010 11:25 PM

glad everything worked out ryan.
And yea how is it compared to the b16
i bet you its MINTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

D.T.P 11-03-2010 06:48 AM

cant compare the 2. totally different motors. feels like i have a H22 under the hood. the tranny makes it alot of fun...altho you "feel" the motor more with the LS tranny, the GS-R tranny is a riot! The B20 is VERY similar to my old SR20DE motor with cams lol.

The B16A was a fun motor, but not my kinda engine. I like the low-end power more than the top-end buzz.

BUT i ran into a HUGE problem this morning.... for some reason when i ease into 3rd and roll out of the gear.... i lay rubber....HAHAHAHA!

D.T.P 11-03-2010 06:56 AM

hahahaha yes that is a problem, only way to solve it, dont ease into gear. Drive it like its ment to be driven ;)

Wicked! That's enough to motivate me to continue my b20 vtec build...hehe.:D

AcuratePaul 11-03-2010 08:38 AM

Nice pics David.

Martin your just a tank that's why the vanes are popping lol.

I bet the b20 and b16 is a night a day difference for many reason. Hope this motor will be built Noice. :yeah:

ya bro, doooo ittttt UP! that will be a crazy beast! The B20 BLOWS my old B16A outta the water. Not to say the B16A was crap/tired because its the cleanest B16A i have seen and she didnt burn any oil.... but the torque is too much for it to handle.
