FYI automatic and standard are the same. I actually used a manual one from a 93 civic on my fiancee's 96 integra . If only the top part is the corroded/damaged you can get a 92-95 civic one. check out some civic forums cheaper and more readily available. Look for part outs or damaged engines.

 

if its the same then i have one from a 95 5spd i have the little metal square "gear"? thing if the gear you talk about goes inside the tranny then no i only have the sensor part

The Top portion of my VSS is actually okay and the harness was already swapped already, what i do need is the gear portion since the gear portion is acutally damaged on my unit.. worse comes to worse i'll just pick it up from the dealer
