Default LNIB EF Civic Skunk 2 sports shocks + Lowering Springs $450 OBO

EF Civic Skunk 2 sports shocks + Lowering Springs $450 OBO

- Comes with everything needed to install minus the bushings
- Lowering springs and shortened shocks give a 2.0-2.75 inch drop (just as advertised below)

http://www.optionjdm.com/option_cart...oduct_id=31233

Installed and driven for 2 days (Ritchie from Option JDM can vouch for that), but I'm not much of a fan of the lowered look...

*Correction*- Can fit DA as well, but with much lower drop.

So were these used on an EF or DA? Stock LCA used with it? What bushings are required that you aren't including? Also, above you indicate that the shocks fit on an EF but when you search on the OptionJDM site, the part number is different. However, the part number for the springs is the same.

Yeaps- that's what I thought too, until I went to the shop and asked them for a setup that gives specifically that... turns out its a very expensive typo...

These were used on the DA- with stock LCA used. Bushings for the DA integra are required. Apparantely Option JDM sells them for $20-$40 (not sure if each or a set though).
I've been told by Ritchie at Option JDM that the EF and DA hatch shocks are the same, due to similar chassis? Is that correct?

EF/DA suspension will interchange, though the strut lengths arent the same. forgot which way it goes but either DA setup on EF or EF setup on DA will drop more/less if interchanged

ef shocks on da will be lower than da shocks on ef.

EF shocks - Shorter. DA shocks - Longer.

Shoot! That's precisely why I"m selling these shocks and springs right now! My car was unbelievably low when I installed the EF shocks on the DA- the muffler was literally scraping the speed bumps and potholes, but I thought that was because I had stock 14 inch rims...

I spent a total of $1235 on suspension these 3 days... $515 for the Skunk 2 stuff, $200 and $160 for 2 days of labor, and
I had to shell out an extra $360 just to buy new stock struts to install them on my old springs today... I tried returning them, but store policies at Option JDM doesn't allow that...

God I'm an idiot...

Well, thanks for informing me of this, and apologies for shelling out the wrong info- I'll try selling this in the Civic forums then...

^^^ Can you confirm the part number then?...because the link above is actually for the DA. So, I think you bought the right shocks for the right car...but it's just that it's too low for your taste.

The part number for the shocks found on the box are: 541-05-1200
The part number for the springs on the box are: 519-05-1650
Both say "88-91 civic/CRX" on the box as well.

I visited the shop and bought it in person.
I guess this my fault, as the vendor only had Civic parts, and he wasn't sure whether the Civic parts would fit the DA- I confirmed that it could, because I vaguely remembered reading a suspension article on G2IC confirming that the parts were direct bolt on. I guess I didn't read it thoroughly though...

Having the rears lowered so much that half the top part of the tires are underneath the fender- I don't think that'd suit anyone's tastes, hell, my DA looked like a Deville!

I guess I should change the link...
