Not much of a advantage to dual core and Vista runs half the speed of XP. Plus, because its so new there are plenty of problems with it. Hell, microsoft is still working on errors with XP, imagine how many years it will take them to make Vista reliable? Im open to offers, that was just a starting price.

the fact of the matter is that your selling OUT OF DATE Technology. Like i could understand ur price if u had some decent upgrades like 2 gigs or ram, a half decent video card, and a good size hard drive. Then ur laptop could be a LITTLE close market price, and i stress the Little part.

like have u ever seen a 05 civic that has a few hundred kilometers on it sitting right next to a 07 civic and there price tags are identical?

A friend of mine just bought a new acer laptop with vista with all of the "better" technology from best buy and it runs way slower then mine. Vista is junk, hands down. The price is o.b.o. , and im looking for any offers. I am looking for a desktop, so if anyone wants to trade let me know.
And CzA, whoever you are, thinking that I know nothing about computers? I have been building computers for over 10 years, and I deal with computers everyday with my job. I have dealt with windows xp for many years, which was ---- when it first came out but it came a long way since then. Its pretty reliable, and efficiant. Compared to Vista it runs about 40 percent faster. If you think that vista is a better operating system, you know nothing. Talk to any computer guy, and they will tell you the same thing. It looks nice, but takes so much out of a system to run. I would wait a long long time before I would ever touch it. What gets me mad is when someone thinks that they know alot about computers and jumps in to someone elses post and makes a fool of himself. Good job.

I would like you to show me where it is in my comments that i stated that vista is better than xp. Please show me, really I mean it. What gets me mad, other than your foolish remarks, is some one who does not take the time to "READ" the comments posted, as i never stated anywhere that xp is better than vista. Thus your whole argument is thrown out the window.(no pun intended)

And if that was not enough at least you had the upper hand of appearing as some one who had little or no background with computers ( hence your ridiculously overpriced cpu, and comments) and just shot us a price. now that you show us you build CPUS and know a thing or two (though i still highly question that), shows me you're in the wrong business to say the least. And if you have been building cpus for ten years you should know how cheap those specs are in terms of what it would cost to build that exact cpu.

Wow, i really wasted my time trying to sell it here. The price said O.B.O. Looks like there is a few ppl that dont know what that means. It was a starting price, and I just wanted to get some responses back. I wasnt looking at ripping someone off or starting all this ----.

you keep claiming OBO and we all know your laptop is not worth more than a few hundred bucks... so with that said, are you willing to go that low even though you claim OBO?

seriously. take a peek a some retail flyers or online stores. even at retail price, anyone could get a better deal on a much faster running, updated and brand name tier 1 laptop.

Ok yes I shot myself in the foot with that statement. Dual core is great for multi-tasking. If you like to run 10 things at one time it can handle this alot better then any single processor p4. What I should have said that a laptop running Vista that has a dual core processor will not run that fast because the operating system usage. It take a unbelievable amount of processor power to run that. If you were able to take a new dual core laptop and through Windows XP on it, you would be laughing. Like what I said earlier a friend of mine bought new acer from best buy and it already takes 3 minutes longer to boot up from a cold start compared to my laptop and it takes so long to boot up and run any programs. It has the dual core but the vista makes it run like a single core 1ghz.

 

g2tegg there are alot of ---- talkers on this forum lol, you will expect it. But im not saying your price labtop is 250 or ----. I know its more then that but you forgot to mention how much GB the Hardrive is? Let them know that and then maybe you might see a change..The price is obo, i talk ---- but thats only to people who deserve it. Jus reduce ur price a bit (100 at least) and you should get an offer soon.
