I tighten it by hand until I can't anymore and then I put in about another 90 Degree turn with a socket wrench.

Hand tight is good enough. A bit of oil on the threads (or spark plug grease) makes it easier to get them out next time.

$4-something for a plug... i bought the NGK g-power platinum ones for $8-something for two... so about the same price, but without waiting.

edit:

it actually came out more expensive than crappy tire!

GOOD LORD! i paid under $20.00 for the same ones yesterday...

i wouldn't waste your money on anything other than the cheap NGK v-power....copper core baby. I've used all of the NGK's and found the v-powers to be the best...and at $7 for a package of 2 you can't go wrong.
Just don't buy them from honda because they're like $8-9 a plug. I guess its because they come in a fancy individual wrapped box....lol...other than that they're the same plug as you get from crappy tire or part source.
Oh and never remove sprak plugs from a hot engine...the last thing you want to do is strip the threads in the head. I would recommend a little anti-seize on the threads for easy removal.

Oh tru tru. Well I decided to change mine yesterday after checking them out during the leakdown test and wanted to give the GP Platinum a try. So far so good.

Did you remember to get the gap?

When I pulled my old Iridiums out they were still at 0.044 for all of them. So that's good, but when I went to check the new GP Platinum one's directly out of the package, they were 0.035 . A quick adjustment with the spark plug gapping tool fixed that.

It said so right on the packaging, set gap before installing the plug.

Your not suppose to gap the OEM plugs (Laser Platinum PFR6G-13) because they already come pre-gap. I got the G-Power Platinum BKR6EGP.
