Default 2 fuses keep blowing!!

The fuse to the vents for air/power mirrors as well as my passenger power window fuse keeps blowing together. I havent done anything to my ride lately and all of a sudden this happens. I replace the fuses but they keep blowing!

I really need some help right now because my passenger window is open and I cant close it!

Since my teg is a 95, if the actual motor of the window died, would that cause the system to short?

Basically, does a broken motor turn into a short?

Please help Thanks!

i dont know about the motor thing...you probably have a short somewhere.

as a last resort- if you want to close the window as an emergency, take off the door pannel and find the 2 wires that run to the window motor. find a 12v source from somewhere and splice it into the wires (one way will go up, the opposite way will make the window go down) HTH

(as an option, you can run jumper wires from the battery to the spliced wires, but be careful not to touch anything metal, and + and - as always)

You can also swap in a higher fuse temporarily until you sort out your issue.

I did take off my door panels about 2-3 weeks ago to lube the window tracks. Could it be possible that maybe a wire got messed up?

I will try a higher amp fuse temporarily.

Thanks for the help!

Okay, I finally found the problem. When I had my speakers installed (when I first got the teg and didnt really know much), I paid for the install along with amp and sub.

The dude that did the install drilled 3 holes to mount the front speakers, one on the left, one on the right, and one on the bottom. I guess it was a matter of time before the puncture into the wires caused a problem. So it was here where the wires were shorting.

Tommorow I'm gonna fix them up. I'm just so relieved I found the root cause, I was afraid it was gonna be a wild goose chase!
