Well everyone, the summer is slowly coming to an end and Fall is close. We did a BBQ last weekend and the turnout was amazing! Thanks to everyone who came out and those who chipped in for the food and drinks. If anyone has those quick-setup tables... holla!

We are asking that people chip in $5/$10 or bring some food to help feed all of us.... yes im coming sooooo anyone who knows me, i eat ALOT haha!

Let me state this again. The last BBQ was a HUGE success, BUT if you want to eat/drink... please either chip in OR suppy food/drinks. Post up what you are chipping in OR bringing please.

 

I'm gonna make a suggestion here. Because there is a months notice, I expect more people coming. Especially if I'm gonna ------ the world like I originally planned. I suggest we move it to a park good enough to hold our group. I know there's some around scarbs that can do it. This can let us park easy and not as tight with a gas station and coin op. Any ideas for parks?

 

I dont know scarbs one bit.... any ideas please post up people!

 

Any body knows earl bales park sheppard and bathurst but it's not in scarborough

 

I know there's tons of parks in Scarborough around the rouge river or even petticoat creek in Pickering is massive and you can park out in the field

 

Regardless of where it is count me in, as long as I can follow someone there lol!

 

jack darling on lakeshore sauga also cornation park in oakville both are huge can fit 300 cars

 

that park has lots of parking... and a great place to chill... and its between the east/west

 

Centenial park on the boarder of mississauaga & etobicoe, right off of eglinton. Central for everyone coming when we consider people as far as burlington and as east as ajax

Woodbine park, Is another great spot, open area, with a skate park, and ashbridges bay just across the street. Access to the boardwalk.

I would even say dufferin park as its not far from my grandfathers house, and could borrow his bbq to use in the park. Couldn't bring it much farther then that, as hes old and if its not going to far he'll be ok with it.( downside is its not close to a highway, and in the middle of the city)

 

I second Peticoke in Pickering as far as openess and parking goes.
There is also Thompson Park at Brimley and Lawrence in Scarborough or
Sunnybrook Park at Don Mills and Eglinton - that park goes for ever!

 

Centenial Park is huge and can fit tons of cars...as for other parks I don't know of any really.

I'm down for wherever it is...I'll most likely be on afternoons so I might get off early might not. If I can I'm so down

ok people, im thinking it will be Centenial Park just because of access and its in the center of mostly all the members. Lots made it out to the first BBQ, so that tells me that the local members will make the trip as us not so local (oakville) members made it out to Holung's shop.

 

I just realized I have training on that day till 6, but I'm still coming hands down. Last time the BBQ went for a long enough time.

 

whereabouts in centennial park cause that place is rather large? i do like the area by the batting cages and go karts? and do we have a time?

I give some directions to where it is. Hope some of you have GPS to make it easier.
Coming from the east and north 427 if your on the 401 take 427 south exit, get off at holiday Drive, right on West Mall, then left on Rathburn and finally right onto centennial Park Drive follow that right to the end until you hit a Large parking lot won't miss it.

Coming from the west and 410 north take 401 east get off at Renforth Drive make a right take Renforth till you make a right on Centennial Park Gate (KEEP 40KM/H ON RENFORTH ALWAYS COPS) then finally make a right onto Centennial Park Drive and follow that to the end and you have reached your destination.

Meet is cancelled. Whoever is planning on coming please don't. Lol. Its thanksgiving weekend and bringing people out on a weekend like that isn't easy. We still had a few people there for the hour but it was decided to call it off. Maybe next time. The first time was great. Hoping to replicate that or make it better.

Ah that sucks. I was meaning to make it, but my thanksgiving weekend was hectic and crazy, to say the least. There was no way I would have been there if I tried.
