Default Need Help!!!

Engine won't fire, got no spark on any wire coming from distubator. Change coil and i think what is the ingniter, still nothing. Mine you car was running this morning and notice i had a bad wire, so i went to the wrecking yard to get a wire and found two decent sets and i tried them and it worked only problem was wire wouldn't go into the port all the way. So while the car was running i pulled the wire off and the car was still continue to run and it chugged and died. So tried starting over again and nothing and thats when we started changing the coil. Put a spark tester on it and no spark at all. Car as it sits now is at my mechanics shop. I just thought i could do some research and ask questions in the meantime.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The distributor houses tdc and camshaft/crankshaft sensors. any of those could be bad, moreover, the ignition modules are very sensitive and one you replaced with may be dead also. Try throwing it a whole new distributor that works from another teg.

What's a new one go for now a days? I just figure might as well start fresh and get new wires.

A new distributor goes for 105 at direct japan. Just bought one yesterday, that was for a vtec motor might be less for a non vtec.

So would this be my best answer or do you think i might be in deeper water. Mine you my mechanic hasn't had a chance yet to look at it, cause he is close for the long weekend. It is like i said before, I'm researching this cause hoping someone else has ran into to this problem before. The other thing i was thinking, is it possible that it could be out of time now? Cause DTP said that the crankshaft/camshaft sensors are in there as well.
