Sooo this weekend was going to be the moment i set up my build thread will all my pics before it goes to paint, but while i was cruising to the shop it seems i blew my headgasket, fml!!! By time i got to my uncles shop, i was leaking coolant and there was a crack in the rad. 2 things could of happened. The rad i put in (clean, but from a part out i just finished) cracked and caused the overheating, or i blew the headgasket on my jdm b20. I am putting in a new rad tomorrow to check if it is just that or if i need the rebuild. So my question is: If i drop a b18 head in (i have a spare), will i lose the torque that my **mint (lol)** b20 has or will it still pull the same?

**so a couple of options come to mind**
1.pull the whole motor, rebuild it, powdercoat anything and everything, and do the vtec conversion or boost it.
2. Rebuild the head - $220 rebuild kit - which is further surpassing the budget i had for this build
3.bring it home, and part it out. Lots of work done just recently.

I would check the rad first see if it was that, that caused this problem.

Next off the b20 bottom end is where you got your torque, people drop b18 even b16 when doing the b20 vtec route.

If you put time and money into this teg see how much it will cost to be up and running then maybe decide what to do with it.

 

yeah it was the rad, but i dont know if i have any more patience to finish this teg...i got an offer on it, witout some parts, i posted the rest in the parts section. all it needs now is paint, and it would look nastyy..buh i dunno nemore..
