Tranny code is written on a white sticker on the tranny casing. It helps to identify the gear ratios.

Just stating "I have a B16 cable tranny with the shortest gears" is not enough info. The code confirms what you have. You have to remember one cannot "see" the gears inside.

Motors have stampings on them as well. But in virtually every case a motor can be recognized by its outer characteristics i.e. manifolds, heads.

You can't glance at a tranny and know exactly what each one is.

Thats why I require the code.....
