try changing your clutch and tranny fluids, either that or all your sycro are messed if its popping out of gear when you get it there. or your clutch. but id try the fluids first had this problem with more than one car and both problems.. see what happens

try sitting closer, maybe you aren't depressing the clutch far enough.

just in cases: my friends synchro in 3rd was messed up he just revved it high in second, then shifted to 4th. anyway that was before he got it fixed.

I had the same problem last week on my DA9....turned out that one of the shock damping springs on the clutch plate broke and wouldn't let the clutch release properly

If you also have a DA9...Before you replace the clutch, try adjusting your clutch cable by turning the black **** near the transmission just before the release arm. This changes the free play and allows you to adjust the clutch pedal travel before the clutch engages/disengages.

If you have 94 and up Integra...check clutch master and slave cylinders for leaks.

It sounds like pressure plate as well. The pressure plate is basically the half of your clutch that holds the pressure on the disc to the flywheel. Honda OEM units have had there problems here. As long as you have clutch pressure then you can rule out the clutch master and slave....

BTW what is your car... I am assuming you have a hydraulic clutch and not a cable one.

if you have to "move the shifter around so many times to get it into gear" then it doesn't sound like the pressure plate to me.

if it was the PP then no amount of messing with the gearbox would allow it to go into gear...the clutch would still be engaged.

you HAVE to pull the tranny for this. inspect the clutch/PP/FW and replace the throwout bearing, and open the tranny case - i'm guessing it's the input shaft.
