door piece question

Default door piece question

this is gonna be hard for me to explain but please bare with me...waht do you guys call that part for the door that holds and clicks your door in position when it's open. for example when you come outta yoru car..you can open your door so much and i stays there(clicks in place) or you can open it further more and it clicks agian. wah is that piece called and where can i get one?

well basically...when you guys open your door..doens't it open and it can open to a certain point and it can hold i'ts place. like the door doesn't just swing freely...it has a stop point and it can open more if you wnat. so hard to explain. a hahha..sorry guys...just bare with me

well basically..my door just swings freely now..it doesn't have that abitlity to open and stay at certain points

Install NSX doors, it will fix your problem. Call your honda dealer, there was a TSB about this.

its called a ''door check strap'' and you can pick one up at your local dealer
but diubt any acura stocks this, we done wither,
so its a special order and will take about a day to get

it's also known as a detent rod (checker rod)...I don't think its that expensive (but i'm not to sure as i never had to buy one.

From what i heard, its just a little tricky to replace...

its about $65.00 new, and not hard to install either, just tight to fit your hands in.
