This truly is a nice piece compared to most oil pans available; perhaps the only one better is Moroso’s all aluminium pan which is only better because it’s lighter. Functionally this pan and the aluminium pan are the same.

The whole top plate acts as a baffle and is common to all baffled oil pans (i.e. Mugen) This one is even more elaborate with trap doors running on either side of the oil pick up opening (you can see two of them in the pictures I posted). This pan also has the extra kick-out witch increases the capacity to 5 litters reducing the likelihood of oil starvation.

The baffles do act to reduce windage losses in the same fashion as a dry sump particularly when cornering. This should further increase my cars ability to pull out of the corners.

canttx,

I picked it up from Clayton (regular Expo) at King Motorsports:

http://www.kingmotorsports.com/product.asp?product=459

King shipped using US Post Air for ~$30US and paid ~$20CND when I picked it up from the post office.

I installed the pan last night so my stock one is now ready for you. I'll PM you my info.

For those with TypeRs considering this pan: you will need to trim your transmission support brace to make it fit. Not a big operation but something you should allow time for.
