Default which is positive

I am trying to install new speakers however the stock speaker harness has no idicators on which wire is positive.
Which wire is positive for the rear speakers?

isn't it the one with the black stripe. but any ways i don't think it matters if you wire it some other way. it still works unless ur wiring it parallel with an amplifier then u shud follow the neg and positive properly.

the factory speaker wire harness does not have a black stripe. it's the aftermarket wires that come with the speakers that have a stripe on it typically to designate each wire as positive or negative.

if you look at the harness for the left rear of the car, isn't green and green with a black strip like the aftermarket wiring harnesses (be it on the deck harness or the harness adaptor). just look at the wires closely and the negative wire has a brown strip on it.

it does matter, because if you're not consistent, the speakers will be out of phase and you'll loose bass. if they were fronts, imaging would suck.

^^ lol Those won't make a difference.

if it has different size spade connectors the smaller one is always negative
