hey ..i tried to find sum info about air filters ..and i guess K&N does it job quite well...so umm ...wat kinds K&N filter will be better for 96 RS with no mods (no mods in near future) ..shuld i go for the drop in ?...or shuld i get a cone one and keep the air box cover open ? .. and also where can i get this filter cheaper ? ..(no ebay for me) ...part numbers wuld be greatly appreciated ...

The drop-in looks exactly like the OEM Purolator filter. Follow this link:

You can probably leave the cover off for a ghetto short ram, or if you're inclinded to, remove the resonator for more air flow. What difference it makes depends on your butt-dyno.

I think you can get these at Performance Improvements as well as Canadian Tire.

heheh ..yeah i was inclined tuwards the ghetto short ram idea ..actuaally i took it off last nite ...and thats when i noticed all kinds of ---- on my filter ..it even had a nasty bug ...so i want to change that damn thing ....thankz bryan
