was needed today to help Tony..aka...B18Cer. If you guys remember Tony was in an accident and his insurance company decided to write off his car and since Tony didn't want all the good things about his Teg to go to waste, he's decided to do a motor swap from his 4 door Teg to a 2 door Civic EG Hatch. Big thanks goes out to the following TI members:
Trenell, Gowsic, Bryan, Simon, Erick, Alex, Nina(newest TI member), and of course SICGWAN...Glenn!
So I thought I would post a few pictures to show you guys some of the progress over the last few hours. Also a CHEERS goes out to TONY who not only provided us with GREAT West Indian food, but refreshments and entertainment...lol
Onto the pics:
Before all of the hardwork started"

Now the hardwork commences:

"Guys, what's that?"

"Yo wha gwan?"

I will be adding more pics as the swap progresses...right now they are putting in the Teg engine into the Civic as I post this up.

Those guys are the greatest. They are very skilled at what they do and are very fun to work with. I thank you all again. If it weren't for you guys, I don't know where I'd be with this whole accident mess. I really really appreciate the help and hope I can repay the favour one day.
mdt115:The master cylinder has to stay in the Teg as I will be selling the shell. Sorry...

And this time I didn't fall asleep under the car.For anyone else that wants the TI pitcrew to for installs, we run on Filipino/Jamaican/Sri Lankan/Chinese/Hut Like Fire time. Time scheduled for 11am we arrived at 4pm :laugh1:

great to hear everything is running. wish i coulda stayed to hear it start up, but watching glenn use all his energy made me tired lmao. did any one end up getting any cho-co-lates?
Yep. Mr. Trenell was the head mechanic. That guy knows everything. The Integra header and the Civic exhaust wouldn't line up properly due to the angles of the flanges. But he would not rest until he devised a way to have them match up. And he did. That was pretty much the last thing that needed to be done.
We started the swap at around 4pm. Had dinner at around 6:30-7. Finished the swap at around maybe 3am and then just spent time fine tuning things and working on the exhaust.
It was great, I can't stress that enough. Lots of laughs, great stories, learned a lot...and we had the birth of Towsic and Grenell...lol.

Yeah, Trenell is the guy with the wealth of knowledge. I've learned a lot from him in the last two years. I'm trying to think if there's anything he has yet to do with a car, aside from body work.
But thanks for allowing us and trusting us to do the swap - I think it was the first for some of us. And I doubt it will be the last.

It wasn't just me, all of us came together and got this done. I've learned a lot from Bryan Fuzzy, Glenn etc as well.
Next swap happens when Fuzzy gets his motor done.
Oh add Tony to the list of cars that's faster than Fuzzy! :finger:

that was definitely a learning experience, i have some knowledge with cars, but to think of it now, its really not that hard to do a swap. you might a little bit of muscle but definitely doable.
Grenell did great work. and had to just had to get the flanges done. but hey look on the brighter side, Tony, just saved at least 30-50 bucks from Speedy mufflers attaching a flange on there.
that was a very long day

yeah man of course, just make a post of when, where and the TI motor swap crew will show up.
Some people just have to much pride or are to shy to ask, but there's no reason to be.

i wish i was there for the whole swap, but i'm glad i was there to lend a hand and hear that badboy fire up! and no PS sucks!
Just came back from driving the car again. I gotta get used to driving without power steering. The hatch is QUICK!!! It's going for safety and E-test tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get it insured tomorrow as well.
These guys are good. The car fired up on its first try. I honestly enjoyed working with all of you guys.
