I love how he actually cropped a snapshot from Olympus P&S to more closely match the aspect ratio of your typical D-SLR.

I'll ask the same question I did at ClubRSX, why split your money across two systems?

No such thing as thinking too much.

I guess if you already had the lenses it doesn't make much difference. I'd be trying my best to figure out which to stick with for the future though. I guess your 5D should retain its value well enough that you can swap it for a D700 later on without losing much.

What school/course mandated Nikon? I suppose its not out of line in that journalists are often provided cameras by their employers like it or not, but that does seem a little stupid in school, especially if you already had Canon gear like yourself.

Good question!!! All the courses I looked into on photography only required a DSLR. There not specific on brand. Unless he went to a Nikon DSLR course, which of course, requires a Nikon. And hey, if I had as much disposable money as this guy does kicking around, I might even consider a $7000 Canon. And then I would purchase a $7000 Nikon as a disposable.

^Humber does. they say it's required, but they don't say it's a must..
so you CAN use whatever camera you want if u wanted.

but it kinda make sense for me that the school to require
Nikon because all the high end lenses and tools from school
that we can lend out without charges are all supported by Nikon..

Dude,
you keep getting hated on for anything you post regarding your photography, or anything to do with your camera(s)....
Why you keep advertising your new purchases, and mention, that your gonna spend $XXX amount on your upcoming camera purchases....WHO THE ---- CARES Really?..
Do what pleases you...and done....you don't need to please anyone....
This board needs to change its name...
TorontoDSLR.ca

I like the pics i see...Fuzzy's, Waynes, Marks...etc....even yours....

^^ well at least there is something to read about or see, the man has skills and he has freedom to post whatever he wants as long as it abides by the rules of the board so there's no need to get all defensive. Frankly, if you have a probably with torontointegras.ca, maybe join an Audi forum since that is what you drive.

I don't think you read my post carefully, Im not defensive...im simply telling the dude, that he doesn't need to please anyone...because hes getting flamed on all the time...Yes the man has skills...i never stated he didn't....hence me posting, i liked the pics he posts...

Another thing, i didn't join torontointegras.ca because of a car...i joined because of the friends i met here in the last 5+ years...and all those people don't drive teg either...but they still are around...as am I.

Personally, I think its idiotic to buy all new equipment because the school would lend out the nikon equipment for free. For all the money you spent buying all new nikon, you could have spent that in canon. Sinse you had Canon to start with it makes sense.. Do you have that much money laying around? Must be nice.....

hate,hate,hate

Who cares if the guys got money to spend ( whether its his or his parents ).
---- it, id buy 10 cameras if that was my "thing" and I had the money.
As for stupid threads, I can sorta understand that, but then again it adds some variety to the forum.
Also, I wonder if some of the other members had posted the same info, would they have been hated on?

Im not trying to start anything here this is just my opinion!

It wouldnt make a difference who. If fuzzy said that he went out and purchased 7g's on Nikon epiment, I would call him a idiot. As would he if I was to do that.

all I mean was that this guy seems to get "bitched out" on every post, so what if hes spoiled or spends too much money on "stupid" things that people dont agree with.
Some poeple would think everyone on this forum is stupid for spending the amount of money that we do on cars. I just think its come to the point where this guy cant say a thing without being hated on.

This is the photography section, i dont see why this guys being hated on? If he spent 7grand on photography equipement, whats it to the rest of the people? are you his financial analysts? its his hoby. Just like most of you people buy turbos and spend so much on your integras, if i find that a waste of money, i dont call you stupid.

^yap. fuzzy like u said no body gives a ----, and im full of ----, so stop commenting on my thread if you REALLY don't give a ---- ...

the Hate is okay... but thanks for those who telling people to stop hating.
but Im gonna tell u one funny reason why all this happened.

once upon a time there was this dude selling his 92' or 93' RX7 for $25000..
I said politely, "u might be askin too much" on the thread
than people started to shittin on me saying "people who cant afford ---- talk ----"
so I got little offeneded and i made a thread called "$7000 camera"
part of the REAL reason I made "$7000 Camera" was really,
I needed suggestion between D3 and 5D....
but than people started to shittin on me saying "spoiled bitch"
and started to try to teach me lesson on Photography..

it was funny,,
cuz once i say "too expensive" than they say shut the ---- up u broke ***
and if i say i wanna buy "7gran camera" than they say shut the ---- up attention -----

I will be keep on posting photos i shoot with my new camera for comments and critiques
but this camera equipment game ---- is all over now

before this thread goes nuts again! I shall stop posting on this thread.
I hope i answered all of you guys' questions

ps. for those who ask why switch brands/ why do this why buy another camera all that.
here's my answer = I do whatever the ---- i do with my money :P

no hatin' !

whys he flauting? I could say the same about you and your car. Every other day i see a thread of your car. It doesn't matter, he's sharing his passion with other people that may be interested in photography. I happen to share the same passion and I enjoyed his post. We enjoy when you post pics of your car cus we all like it...same thing. Grow up people, this forum is just so immature.

when last have you seen me post a pic of my car? over a month ago? not to mension that this is www.torontointegras.ca

^and that people on this board have seen my car progress from day 1.

i dont' even need to start to explain how he flaunts his coin, just go look at his previous posts, he has this "holier than thou" attitude when it comes to what he wants to buy/his money. sorry bud, but nobody is better than anyone depending on how much money they make, maybe one day this fool will realise this.

Fuzzy, once again brings up a good point. He also has thousands invested in camera equiment, as do I, and you dont see us "flaunting" it.
I personally like to see other photographers work. Keep posting your pics ednyboo. Just getting sick and tired about hearing about this "$7000" camera.

it's great for commercial photography.

Humber college do all kinds such as journalism/portraits/ commercials... but mainly concentraits on product shots and studio set ups.

but we do lots of 4x5 cameras and processing and darkroom stuff too..
I think it was just right thing for me..

if u want somethin more artsy side..
u should go try sheridan or ryerson , ocad ect..
good luck!

Whats wrong with acting rich?

half you people listen to rap music, dont you? and watch non-stop BET where some somolian from africa with a tatoo of your sister and weird russian teeth is driving a bentley and zooming in on his rolex throwing money around like a rabid ---- throwing monkey thats been locked in a zoo all its life.

All the guy wants to do is show you his new ------- camera, jesus. Just tell him its a nice ------- camera already, woulda ya. have some decency.
