i just took my sideskirts off yesterday for paint, wow doesn't look anything like that. However I'd better rust spray if before I re-install. You think a little bondo would do?

since i have to get the quarters fixed again, i figured there was some rust under there so i pulled off the skirt to take a look around. i knew there would be some rust but didn't realise it was that bad. i got bored so i started chiselling it with a screw driver and hammer and ended up that that mess. i'm bummed, but at least i know the extent of the damage...

the previous owner rustproofed the car when it was new, but there is no trace of spray in the inside of the quarter or in inside sill, which luckily is still intact.

i've been contemplating getting rid of the car and moving on, until i found recently my cousin who is in engineering school who, for interests sake is taking his second welding class. i'm going to hit him up for help....

so basically guys and girls, if you want to keep your car rust free, it's not just the quarter panel arch towards the rear bumper to look out for.
