if i was a baller and had a gt-r, i'd use the launch control and turn off the vdc... if it breaks, who cares, i'll get my personal garage attendant to get a guy overnighted from japan with a new tranny, buy a another gt-r or just drive one of my other cars because money ain't a thing.
but since i'm not, wow that car is a pos.... |

i think it's more like how we replace the tranny fluid every few thousand kms, for these cars they have to replace the tranny. "Recommended for better engine performance" i guess.

what the fuk was nissan thinking when they decided to void the warrentee on an optional launch control program? If it comes standard on gtr's FROM FACTORY, then it should be included in the warrentee without question. Nissan fuked up badly on this one, and expects owners to shell out 20k for a tranny that may or may not fuk up if this VDC is off??? FUK NISSAN for this $90k piece of scrapmetal.
|
rice? i think even uncle ben would like that car.

^mustangs were designed to be straight line cars. the same way hondas were more circut oriented. hence, in a straight line, a mustang will merk your car.

I dont care what car it is, its not suppose to rev 2000-4000 then slammed into gear. Thats just asking for problems. Its not meant to be used every single time out of a dig... |
beautifUL!

GTR = Get Transmission Replaced |

|
lol dam that first video with the red gtr sounds like a plane warming up to take off
|
Carsumer Advocacy? Nissan refuses to replace GT-R owner's busted transmission:
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/13/c...owners-busted/ Can someone with a better understanding of this, explain to me what the VDC is responsible for, and why you have to turn it off for launch control? |
VDC is different than any other nissan car (on regular nissans like the 350 vdc is like a traction control like hondas vsa, to my knowledge the VSA the GTR uses monitors many more things)
The GT-R uses a combination of Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Traction Control (TC) to offer 2 different driving experiences. When VDC is turned on, it monitors the front wheel turning angle, body roll and wheel spin when going around corners. It will reduce power if needed to stay within pre-determined limits and keep the vehicle connected with the tarmac. When this is turned off, TC becomes available from which the benefits are obvious...faster acceleration. |
basically nissan has the right to fix your car if you take off the vdc, tcs and put the car into race mode.
So lol at GTR owners who think they can abuse the "new car warranty" |
I would rather own a S65 AMG if I had the money lol. And I know its more expensive than the GT-R but people its such a better car, people....lifes hard hahaha, which car do you guys dream of ????

The Gallardo is a great car, very flashy, powerful, handles very well, sounds great but for those reasons it's also not the greatest experience. It isn't one that you can just drive around, you need to mentally prepare for the trip and think over whether the scenario is the right one to take the car to. Think of it like a very expensive cologne, smells great and you wish you could wear it all the time. But after you finally pay for it, you think in your head: "Is it worth using tonight, or should I save it for another day?" |
