I believe this is going to be the new supra, well it's replacement.

 

looks really interesting! it has those weird 370z headlights that look like check marks and it has those strange looking space ship nets in the back like lambo reventon.

the LFA has actually been given the green light for production and is said that only 500 will be made. Rumors are since the supra was a inline 6 twin turbo car, the LFA is not supposed to be the supra successor.

that is pretty decent power. i also found out that out of 500 only 10 are making its way down to canada, and that you must sign a 2 year lease agreement before you can purchase the vehicle.

that lex is gonna be priced over $350k, WTF?! hell with 100k i can build a teg that will look better, handle better, and will be faster. its a waste of money for what it is...a v10 putting out just over 550hp? come on, that motor can be making so much more power to begin with.
also for that price why not buy a ferrari or something exotic...
so if you just dont like tegs [since you own a lex] stfu.

no its social status which is over rated. i drive what i like. i would never buy a lexus or a brand new car. wtf is the point. my car has 4 wheels...it gets me places...quite quick too. if you look to turn heads when you drive by then yeah i guess exotic or lexus is for you, but hell stock lookin teg with $100k in mods [something like fully built gsr/big turbo/full suspension build/rewelded and stiffened frame/interior work/nice rims] would be my obvious choise because i dont care what ppl think and obviously you choose bought not built....

I agree with you 100% in the principles, Martin, that I would not "buy" some exotic car and thus buy my social status, and probably my girlfriend too, however the car itself is where my thoughts are different.

Instead of some "look at me, I'm rich!" type of exotic car like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, I would instead spend LESS money on an (arguably still somewhat exotic) car, say a Porsche 911 and then go up from there. Why buy a car that, sure, it's very nice and has a social status to go with it, when for the same money you can buy a still very respectable car that is totally unique? It will rip a Ferrari to shreds, and will still turn heads (and probably drop jaws) at the same time.

IMO, there is a point where putting large amounts of money into a lower end car need to stop, where you might as well get a higher end car that has a bit more potential and is a more solid platform to do ridiculous things with.

Living in the area that I do, I see Ferrari's and exotics all the time. I get more excited seeing a lancer evolution than your run of the mill exotics that I see so damn often. They're simply overplayed. I see one and don't care, basically. Hey, it's the 3rd one today! WOW, this one's exactly the same as the last one!

In essence, you wanna stand out? Be different

Yet when you say you have to stop spending money on a car at one point...well the way I see it, if a new car is gonna cost me $25k+ then why not dump the same money in an old car. Ofcourse its value is gonna be nowhere close to what it would be if it was stock and new, but in the end its faster and more fun. Plus I can say "I built it"
But everybody goes crazy in their own little way.

It's more about what I see more often. I see those too often in my area, and a lot of the people who have them are arrogant.

So yes, I do get more excited seeing a rice rocket. But the debate about "rice" is a whole other story. The classier ones are rare, like the evos and impreza sti's and on occasion you see a very very clean and tastefully done up lower end one that makes you appreciate the beauty of a proper japanese machine. It's all about taste.

About the meets, I used to go to every West End meet in the summer, I've never gone to an East End meet, but thats besides the point. Just don't run your mouth (or in this case your keyboard) without thinking there will be any reprucussions. Come on man, a little respect
