Hey, ---- you :jack:

I won't get start on this simply because I've covered it before on other forums.

blown90b16teg@11psi Dec 21, 2008 11:17 PM

i think its easier to build a DC than a Da there is way more support for the dc. Da owner have a harder time finding parts and there are more DC than da's as we had 3 years and the dc was out for 8 years. so Da are just as nice as the Dcs out there they are just harder too do. i was considering buying a dc but i hated the god awful round headlights and wasdnt intrested in paying 2000+ paint for a new front end.

and yes i will admit i have dc parts on my Da some things are just too hard ot fid. ex. my wilwood bbk is for a dc

all and all they are both tegs just takes more time, patience and money to build a DA

Jeep_DB2 Dec 22, 2008 10:32 PM

I've loved DAs for years.

My GS-R is sort of my realistic/affordable dream car.

blown90b16teg@11psi Dec 22, 2008 10:51 PM

iv loved them even since my brother bought my uncles back in 2000 iv only owned a Da and im on my 2nd

1DA2NV Dec 23, 2008 02:18 AM

Richie as it is with all cars its not how much money you spend on your car its how you spend it, a clean DA is as attainable as a clean DC so again, its what you spend your money on man, not how much

1sickda Dec 24, 2008 12:59 PM

richie iuno why you would say that. reason why i kept my da is because i really like 2nd gen integras. I could of bought a 350 z, type r, s2000 but i wanted to build a clean 2nd gen since there are not too many of them you see around that are nice. I would rather have my money in my account saving for a house then blowing all of it on my integra like i used to do when i was your age richie. You will find out like I did that its not worth/smart to blow a ton of cash on a car that depreciates, and rather spend some money on your car and on top of that have a ---- load of cash in the bank gaining interest for a house. Thats just how i am now. I rather have a brand new house paid for, or huge dp then dump all of it on a integra.

1sickda Dec 24, 2008 01:05 PM

I learned that from my fiance, and from my good friend dave. He always bugged me and made fun of me spending so much onb a 1990 integra. Always told me its better to put money away for a house, so i took his good advice. Im still modding my acura just not dumping tons of money into it.

who says that people that spend money on their cars don't have their own place? all i'm hearing is the typical DA excuse.

bangdagears Dec 24, 2008 06:39 PM

^co-sign on that even though i live at home..=P

1sickda Dec 24, 2008 10:21 PM

never said every single person. But when you got a nice house or live on your own most people don't have extra money to dump on a k20 swap or turbo. I know this because i've been in the car scene for 5 Years now and a lot of the people i meet are eyeballs in debt,or live at home dont pay rent so they got tons of extra money to spend.

I don't think you will be dumping 10 + grand into your car when you got a mortgage to pay and bills. For a decent house even with 100 grand down on your house which alot of people never do, your mortgage with property taxes will be around 1700. Thats for a average house in gta, because its so ------- pricey down there. Down here in niagara for 350 000 you can get a brand new nice home. All im saying is when you get older and have a house responsibilities are key factor, and to put food on the table for your family not spending 2000 a month on rims, and rebuilding a motor. Its more of a budget build. That's all im saying and thats 100 % the truth.

1sickda Dec 24, 2008 10:22 PM

you can take that to the bank fuzzy when you go and cash your cheque this week.

its me.. mario Dec 24, 2008 11:17 PM

guy you're so full of it and it's not even funny. you must live in a ------- bubble or something if you think your "5 years" of "scene" experience is the end all be all. if everyone you met is like that then you definitely are living in a bubble.

you need to get your head out of your ass and stop ------- generalizing everything you see.:jack:

No DA, no DC. Know your roots.

I will admit there are far more busted ass ghetto trash DAs out there then nice ones. I see a lot of them and it makes me cry to see em all riced out.

Anyways, no use bickering over it. Different strokes for different folks.

thats like a chicken vs watermelon thread i wouldnt be surprised if fuzzy makes one of those :P

maybe you should look up what the word "budget" means, while your at it, perhaps ask someone to explain to you how to save money. who says you have to turn out a finished car overnight? if you put 100grand on a house and your paying a $1700 mortgage then you sir are getting raped up the ass.

judging by the tone in your post, you know all there is about the scene with your 5years experience, yet you diden't even build your own car, let alone have one that is atleast 1/2 decent.

i am 0% in debt for my car. i have a mortgage to pay along with bills everymonth. here's an idea, if you can't afford a house, your car, or money for parts to do stuff to your car; yet you want all of these things, them maybe you should take your ass back to school then find a higher paying job.....but wait....that would be too much work right?

now take that to the bank and see if you'll be approved for a loan to finish your car.

For one i was just at the bank and talking it over with a mortgage broker, and i asked her if I bought a house for 350 000 and put 100 grand cash down how much would the mortgage be roughly. She calculated it and it came out to almost 1700 a month. Dont talk about something you dont know. Pure stupidty fuzzy, im going to believe you over someone who does that for a living. How much is it for a decent apartment 800? probably more. So for a brand new house thats 350 000 you think your going to pay close to what your payin for an apartment with property taxes. YA ------- RITE, take your best shot fuzzy. You guys get raped up the ------- on property taxes too because you live in t.o. Id blow my brains out if i lived in t.o always in traffic dealing with pure bullshit. Plus for a decent house you pay out the -------.

Now since i had to correct you on that topic completely on to the next topic.

Now i have to say this sorry bro, but for you to say to me if you cant afford it maybe you should go back to school is the funniest thing ive ever heard. You just started this, so im going to finish it so you know. Fuzzy for one you work at a hospital at the front desk correct? 2nd If you even say your job is even remotely close to mine with hard work ill seriously laugh. All the buildings that go up now and your HOSPTIAL has to have fire sprinklers installed in it before occupancy can be let in. So what that means is you wouldnt have a job if i didnt do my job there first.

Ive been to school doing something that you probably could never do, as well as half the other people in school. Im in a skilled trade, installing systems that save peoples lives, not filing paper work for the hospital. I have to figure everything out so it all fits in like a puzzle before the building is even ready to be open IS THAT EASY AS YOUR JOB. NO second of all i cant afford it? ya im sure, im making over 35 dollars and hour, plus LOA, plus CASH BONUSES plus i dont get taxed as much as you do because im a subcontractor which means i can rite alot of things of saving me on taxes. So if you make over 16 000 in 2 months then you make more money then i do.

Im not even licensed as of yet still have 1 more term of school. So why would i go to school fuzzy when i make more then most of them except doctors, lawyers. But when i start my company then ill be with them. So what you sed honestly doesnt even come close to who I am.

1sickda Dec 26, 2008 04:49 PM

Good for you....no really...:yeah: If your making money and living your life the way you wanna live it then good for you. But its funny how you yourself see that your posts seem 'arrogant' yet you continue to post the same ---- over and over again on here and --------.
No one cares how much you make in 2 months, no one cares you don't spend all your money on your DA, no one cares that you save lives and Toronto's a ---- hole with overpriced houses LOL.

Your pretty much just like "OEM" Rob. Except he posts his CRX on every forum and you talk about how much money you make and how much Toronto sucks to live in on forums LOL

thank you, i agree.
i don't care what ppl think of my wheels. I built my car for me, not to get approval from my peers. if i didn't like them i wouldn't have bought them but I do like them and to me it was $300 and 30 hrs of sanding, stripping, polishing, and painting well spent.

it makes me laugh to see people say "why would you buy wheels that are worth half of/as much as/more than the car." and some of these people, at the same time are saying "that car would be better if it had some <insert expensive wheels here> wheels on it." or "that car would be nice if it didn't have those knock off rims" they also say "the rims make the car" when they're really saying "the name of the rims make the car"

know what I mean?

Well put. Its just like clothes at the end of the day. Think about all the people you remember back in high school that tried to fit in and wear nothing but brand name clothing. There's nothing wrong with it, but the 'cheaper alternative' isn't always a bad choice as well.

blown90b16teg@11psi Dec 27, 2008 12:27 PM

im glad i bought rotas rather than spoons. if you saw my rims you would agree. rotas are cheaper to replace and i dont feel as bad scratching my rotas. iv had my wheels for more than 4 years and have served me well
