The City shouldn't require the funds be raised to work around the tree, they should just do it. Once in a while we should yeild to nature where possible.

I'm all for saving the trees and this is a beautiful specimen.but.... in this case it makes more sense to me to cut the tree down. It's probably going to die shortly anyway and imo I don't think heritage factors apply here. Then take the money raised that was to be used to "work around the tree" and plant many young trees along the roadside. Just a thought.

dont assume that the tree will die just because its old. Trees can live for hundreds of years

it's an awesome tree but gsr rudebwoi has a good idea. i'd like to see alot of trees not just one

btw what street is that on?

It's on Bronte Rd, just N of the QEW. It's right in front of the emergency services building beside the cop shop on the E side of the road.
