Default Random Pics from my weekend

I treated myself to an early xmas present last week so this weekend gave me plenty of opportunity to go out and test her out. If the pics look like crap its my PS skills that are to blame, not my camera or my new lens.

New lens is a Canon 28-135mm IS USM

Enjoy!

The last pic is a pain in the *** to take, he wont stop moving and its pretty dim where I took that picture. It turned out pretty dark so I had to fix it up a bit and that really didnt help. That one was taken with my 50mm 1.8f Lens

PS > me

Nice pics man, sorry I didn't call you on Sunday. I still want to do the Photoshoot, so either Saturday on Sunday. Come out to Pickering, lots of nice streets with trees that are changing colours.

For DSLR 2 names pop up Canon and Nikon... Ill let Wayne and Doug (and maybe (Calvin - Stock R) chime in when they get the chance. Those 3 are the most experienced and proficient people on this site in re: DSLR as one uses it as his 4th job, the other loves taking fantasic pictures and the other works for the government spying on you with satellites.

Wow Jonn!

What a nice early x-mas gift you have!

I think you're getting better at the things you take pictures of! I think you did a great job with Jordan considering he's always moving!

Sorry to say...he still looks alot like his mom...

Thanks guys, but Im looking at it now from my LCD screen at work and they look like ----. Its time to get with the times and get an LCD screen for my inlaws comp..lol

Wayne, no worries..it was raining all weekend anyways. It would have been a shitty day to take pics. Maybe we'll try this weekend.

im such a newb when it comes to cameras so i definitely wouldn't have caught that 300D. As for what was going on at the ACC, well thanks, it couldn't have been any more clearer. I just realized that after I posted.

but i should consult one of you guys too for advice on cameras. This being my first digital camera, I sort of want to take it up as a hobby or something to do in my spare time. I recently spoke to a photographer at a wedding I was at and he told me how expensive it can be to get into photography. But if thats your profession, money isn't really an object.

LOL Erick asked me the same thing and he thought the 300D in my sig was a car.

Its an expensive hobby to get into. First of all the bodies are not cheap. And when you want good/quality lenses those are almost as expensive as some of the bodies available. Accessories are not cheap either, I just looked into purchasing an extra battery this weekend and I didnt know an OEM Canon battery would cost me 120+taxes.

yea for real, i thought 300D was like some sort of a car lol. Anyhow I've looked at smaller digital cameras and really thin ones but what's the point? They're more for convenience I guess or for people who just want to take pics for the heck of it. I've been to henrys and all sorts of shops in the past but I think by Christmas i'm going to be making a decision. BTW how much did you purchase your camera for jonn as oppose to how much it's worth now?
