Pictures from Japan

20 Attachment(s)
Alright well, sorry for the slow speed for the pictures.. they are hosted on my site which is in turn hosted on my computer.. Can't access photobucket and all that ---- from work so.. here they are my pictures from Japan this year when I went. All these car's were just mostly parked around the area I was staying within a square kilometer of each other, found while I was walking our dogs in Japan, Aichi Prefecture (About a 30 minute drive away from Nagoya). When I was there I realized VERY quickly that EVERYONE drives sweet, clean cars. No lime green - brown, rice bullshit. It was epic. Can't wait til I move there in 1-2 years.

Enjoy.

Wow, that all looks so clean.

Now I wonder what happened in this whole "lost in translation" thing with going from that ^ to some of what we see here? lol

Either way, looks like an awesome place to be if you're a car enthusiast.

AcuratePaul 06-01-2010 10:00 AM

aww man those are some nice clean cars. Hard to see a 240 in that type of shape lmao. Thanks for posting the pics.

MPR 06-01-2010 10:57 AM

It's a true 180SX, not a 240.

And in reply to everyone else, Japan is amazing I'd advise you all to go there you'd all love it. All the cars are clean, NO rice bullshit, and even when it is rice.. it's so JDM, that you can't hate on it.

Neon_Dave 06-01-2010 02:48 PM

it's so JDM
no pun intended

I'd love to go sometime and drive the roads there in a true japanese car.

TI cruise to Japan? :D

Datenshi 06-01-2010 04:06 PM

Haha, you're welcome to come visit when I move there. ;) It'll be the one with an RX-7 Type R in my driveway. (SMALL ASS DRIVEWAYS!! JESUS CHRIST.)

D.T.P 06-01-2010 07:05 PM

You know what the funny thing is....is that for them these cars are probably NOTHING, cuse theyre seen every day you really dont appreciate how amazing they are...so for them is just whatever. :( damn you USDM

Yeah they are really rare to see, but you do see some old american cars over there.

Eden 06-01-2010 10:56 PM

Thanks for posting those as you said you would, Datenshi.
Some amazing pictures, some amazing cars. :)

Datenshi 06-02-2010 10:48 AM

No problem, glad you liked 'em.

Uploaded them to photobucket too and replaced the links, should be faster to load now and permanent. :P

Btw the best part of the entire trip was driving on the roads, they are more narrow then our roads here obviously.. and they got those crazy gutters on the sides.. but the pavement is pretty much brand new everywhere. Driving up and down a mountain road was the most epic, so much fun hahaha (AND CRAZY TECHNICAL). Also when I was there I notice pretty much NO car was older than 2000, and if it was .. it was like an R33.. an old Evo or STI, etc.. NO cars had rust at all and most under 100k KM's.. God damn Japanese people.

You know what's bizarre? In some of the photos, one of the first things I noticed (after the cars, of course) was how clean the paved parking lots were. Impressive. :)

92teg-gs 06-26-2010 11:42 PM

8500 RPM 07-08-2010 12:48 PM

Nice pics. What were you doing there and why are you moving there?

Datenshi 07-08-2010 04:41 PM

I was there on vacation, and meeting my girlfriends family for 3-4 weeks. My girlfriend is from Japan, she's a student here learning English, so when I had the chance I went there to see it myself, lets be honest we all would go if we had the opportunity :P.

I'm moving there because by 2012, she will be done school here.. and we've pretty much decided that when she's done school here.. if we're still together that we should live in Japan for a while, probably 1-2 years. I want to, she wants to.. It's a pretty ------ awesome place, better paying jobs for both of us, car's galore for me and she misses home.. I'm not too attached to Canada.. so I'm down. :P

kompakt 07-08-2010 10:31 PM

lots of eye candy over there..

Veloce89 07-25-2010 10:48 PM

That RX-7 is unreal ...wow!

reasonable rock 07-27-2010 12:28 PM

everyone said it first - clean. nice pics!

jomama 09-12-2010 05:55 PM

too sick

katsushin 09-15-2010 12:12 AM

Simple and clean is what it's all about. Wish I could be in Japan someday.

Datenshi 09-20-2010 10:45 AM

Not that hard to get there, 1000$ roundtrip to Tokyo. Hotel or housing would probably be kind of expensive though while your there. I was living at my girlfriends parents for the three weeks I was there. If you had like 3000$ you could probably go for a sick-ass week. :P

I'll never forget it lol. First night in Tokyo when I got there, after I was finally off the train and ----.. went to my girlfriends friends apartment right beside Ikebukero station and a white R34 and black R33 drove by together lol. I was flipping out, everyone else was like what's the big deal... Ahh... to live in Japan.

AcuratePaul 09-20-2010 02:07 PM

^^^ well think about it if you did live there it wouldn't be a big deal but when you see them here you appreciate it so much...so it's kinda good you don't see them as often. Living there it's just like see a corolla here lmao.

Datenshi 09-20-2010 04:22 PM

lol True, I suppose. I just blame the fact that they were girls, and know nothing about REAL cars. Though.. I'm slowly brain washing my girlfriend into cars... :D She's already told me some of the 'mods' she want's to do if she gets a DC5.. like buying coilovers and getting the ITR kit hahahaha.

OR You could live there, never see a rusty car again.. and see nothing but beautiful brand new cars and crazy ass sports cars all the time. :D Sounds more like heaven to me, then something I would get bored off.. but only time will tell!

robert.2010 09-20-2010 11:37 PM

I hope u really do move there i envy u thank-u for showing all of us your photos of Japan. I want to go there myself but no romance without the finance it expensive to go there . I cant imagine how much it would cost to live there good luck.

Datenshi 09-24-2010 04:31 PM

No worries, glad you enjoyed 'em. It's not too expensive to live in Japan, unless your in Tokyo... Getting a job without being able to speak Japanese is the hard part, which is why I'm in the process of learning.

gottalovetheteg 09-24-2010 04:50 PM

Dam, those are some nice cars, I bet the GTR over there is pretty common lol
