Default pics from my snowboarding trip

hey gang, just got back from a week long trip to Fernie BC. and thought i'd share the experience.

Name: IMG_0303.jpg

/\ me bustin' a nice pow carve.

All i can say is this. If you board or ski, GO TO FERNIE!!!! i've been around the world boarding and the snow/pow/pooh/fluff in Fernie is retarded!!! (snowed 2ft in one day), the terrain is crazy, town is great for partying, etc. etc. etc.

here's some links to slideshows of more pics. Click on the “full size” icon on the top left of the screen for a bigger look.

I've been back for a day and can't wait to go back again!

Peace,C.

Nice! A coworker snowboards and he's trying to get me to go, but I know I'd just fall on my ****.

^falling isn't fun, but once you get the hang of it, snowboarding can become addicting as hell. give it a shot old man :P

Best place to learn is in Pow... if you can ride it .. you can ride the sheets of ice around here they call "ski hills" plus it's nicer to fall in/on... I rode Whistler/Blackcomb last winter and if Fernie was anything close to it .. I'm sure you had a blast..... from the pics it looks like a good ride...

do it! i've been snowboarding for coming on 5 or 6 years, and nothing beats a fresh snowfall of pure powder. although i have a tough time going to the hills around here after having gone to denver for 2 years straight, nothing compares.

for the first few times it's hard, but after that you improve almost instantly, where as with skiing it takes 2 seconds to learn, but takes a life time to perfect it.

i can explain the tree pics. we were busting full tilt through the glades (runs that cut through the forest on the mountain), there's no defined run, you just head into the forest and pray you don't hit a tree. So i was stopping once through them and looking back to take pics.

for those who don't do winter sports you're missing out (get off the couch). to stand on top of a mountain will change your perspective on life, little trivial things that happen day to day will mean nothing. throwing yourself down the mountain on a board or skiis will let you know you're living life!
