wow looks like a really nice job there! I have a question for you tho. I know its not about painting, but since your a painting guy, whats the easiest way to blend/match old paint to new paint. (I know for a fact it won't be shiney and match like new), but I mean to get minor scratches possibly some of the fade... just clay bar and polish or?

well it totally depends on which route you take really.
are you actually painting it with a gun and base clear? or are you just using a color match in a can?

Well parts of the car were repainted at a body shop. So now I want to somewhat match/brighten up the old paint to the new paint, clean up any minor scratches and what not, i'm assuming a good polishing?

ok lol im not getting what your asking lol.
you already had the painting done at a body shop and it doesn't match or shine to great?
or your planning to do it yourself but are affraid to do so cause it might not match or have factory shine?

just trying to find out your current situation to help you with an accurate answer, sorry im just confused lol.

lol alright the front bumper, rear bumper, rear quarters and hatch have all been REPAINTED by a body shop. Now the doors, front fenders, and roof are all stock ORIGINAL paint. So I want to bring up a shine and get rid of scratches to the ORIGINAL panels that were NOT repainted. (on the doors front fenders and roof).

ya you can give a good wet sand and polish, clay bar wont harm anything either if you wanted to do so.(you shouldn't really need to but up to you).

and a good wax job of course.

that help Lol. sorry was really confusing haha.

haha its all good. my bad for not being more clear. but you suggest to wet sand first and than to polish it up nice? I have a guy who said if he buffs it that it should turn out pretty nice and get rid of most of the crap and bring the shine back, I was just wondering if buffing should be where I should head first.

try the clay bar first and see with a good wax. then i say last resort to wet sand and polish. you could also just polish, dont really need to wet sand it tho.

are you able to colour match?
i have a red to sunset orange flake paint that i would like on a different front end, sideskirts and rear bumper. (i'm not a fan of the current body kit i that came on my car) if so... do you know a ballpark figure?
dunville is no prob distance wise. i live in vineland

SOR if you had color codes and stuff ya no problem. or if you had exact color names and stuff then i could yes. as for price range cant give you a price till i know exactly what colors are layed out. sounds like a 3 stage paint job tho.

sooner you get me the info on your paint exactly theres no problem with me getting you a quote.
