Peeeeeeuuump...

But his valve cover & distributor are kinda dirty hehe

FuzzyLS BRO 02-04-2006 08:10 PM

that does look good. if i was going to do a wire tuck, i'd have to go all out, fill every hole, smooth out the rad support, paint the complete bay. but that does look alot cleaner.

LivinLow 02-04-2006 08:15 PM

where the hell did it all go,i've been trying to get rid of the crap under my hood for awhile now.

SIC1 02-04-2006 08:53 PM

Firewall and in between the engine bay and side fenders. Can you imagine an ins. adjusters face if you ever get into a front end collision that you have to claim.

That is a lot of man hours to be slicing wires and would be a bitch if you had a "electronic gremin" to deal with. :uhhuh:

HyBrId 02-04-2006 09:54 PM

not bad considering this is how it used to look...

the biggest difference is because he took out the abs. Those are a lot of damn lines.

Looks good though. I like

nautica_t YO 02-05-2006 11:10 AM

i don't get it??
what happens if you get an electrical problem?/ are you not SOL now and going to be paying through the roof for diagnose????

Platinum Playa 02-05-2006 02:28 PM

these guys who do this are hilarious, removing abs to look cool.

lol i know. Its a ------ engine for fucks sake. its like cleanin ur house toilet to perfection.

but his car is a beauty gotta give him props.

VinceTEC 02-05-2006 02:46 PM

It's just the next stage of the whole Honda/Acura scene. Look at where the VW scene is in the US, it's all about being clean and tucked.

I think it's cool how the car enthusiasts and scene are evolving.

But, my opinion is a bit biased

Vince is that what your doing to the delsol while you drive the civic over winter?

VinceTEC 02-05-2006 02:56 PM

Yeah, I'm trying haha... but as the engine goes in, more and more crap gets in the way!

It helps though, that I have no PS, Cruise, ABS, or AC... my engine bay looked so empty already.

FuzzyLS BRO 02-05-2006 03:17 PM

^----, if i had a car like that i would shave all the holes and paint everything before the motor went in, it's so much easier when the motor is out of the car.

VinceTEC 02-05-2006 03:24 PM

I was honestly thinking of it, but my timeline just didn't allow for that kind of work. Plus, with the rate at which I change cars... it just wouldn't make sense haha

JEFFOS69 02-05-2006 03:42 PM

An entire engine tuck - nice. Id have my friends help me push the car to a local timmies and have one under the hood waiting and film the look on peoples faces when I pop the hood to "show em what I got"

Flinstone powered

maybe his abs doesn't work. take it out, save weight. mines been busted for years and i'll take it out eventually, but i'm lazy. if i scored a set of oem hid housings, i'd pull it out right now.

when you say vw, are you referring to newer vws front engined or air cooled beetles? i think it has more to do with domestic resto-rods. from the shaving, tucking, spacers under the hoods, simple and clean. it would be pretty cool to see a honda all clean, tucked and simple at a primarily domestic show like speedorama someday instead of your traditional stereotypical honda with the big rims, bodykit and grapefruit shooter exhaust.

honda>vw.

Big Hairy Gino 02-06-2006 10:48 AM

I guess Brewer finished his wire tuck? Looks sick.

Vince is doing a tuck too? Uh-oh!!!! K series with a tuck? Maybe???

VinceTEC 02-06-2006 11:04 PM

Yeah, the beetles but even the front engined newer dubs... take a look at the cars who go to Waterfest, they're all about cleanliness.

And what's with all this k talk?? haha
