If they were going on a silver car I would say keep them the original color. But on your Black da I would paint them gunmetal.

^^ i would try gold.....gold with a polished lip looks sexy on any car....nice wheels by the way....:yeah:

thanks and i love u

polished, gunmetal, or even bronze, on ur car i think the gunmetal would look best

DJINFERNO806 05-10-2008 09:46 PM

hmmm not feeling the gunmetal bro, just because your car is black. Stick with the silver, it looks hot.

i got mine for under 400$ from a friends shop to try them out and see what they were like when they first came out a few years back, i gave them back and said to him they are shitty and he dropped them like a tonne of bricks, other then that it was ok lol

thusee 05-10-2008 10:29 PM

how is it on dry roads i dont take my car out when it rains as much because my friggin sunroof leaks one of the hinges is broken.
have an aftermarket sunroof on mine the pop up style. previous owner installed i guess

that last white 1 looks sick, what side skirts are those?
and thats the front type r lip right?

thusee 05-10-2008 11:43 PM

made a gold 1 to see how it looks

b16a92teg 05-11-2008 12:06 AM

^^ type r abs lips and mugen replica sides....

DJINFERNO806 05-11-2008 12:09 AM

try a deeper gold for the inside of the rim, that gold seems a bit too light

thusee 05-11-2008 12:13 AM

well this is jus a pic ruff idea cause paint will always be a bit different.

Buff4Prez Yo 05-11-2008 08:47 AM

i'm biased towards gold with a polished lip.

thusee 05-11-2008 10:14 AM

i think im gona go with the gunmetal look this year,
which paint do i use? and can i just paint over the original paint? or do i have to prep it first somehow?

D C 2 05-11-2008 11:37 AM

Gold would look good, or even red.

basically the same idea, except no curb rash. sand it enough to get the clear off, and prime it to get a smooth surface, then use high heat paint, I used this one from CT - Dupli Color High Heat, get the Graphite colour, if you are going for the gunmetal look. it should take you that long, because your rims are new, and u dont have to fix any curb rash or anything.
