its a DSLR type, so it looks like a slr but no removable lens...

Exactly.Its a glorified point and shoot. Looks like a dslr tho cause of the size.

The FinePix S9000 looks just like a digital SLR, and a lot of people will probably think that it is one. But looks are deceiving: the lens is fixed, and the build quality isn't quite as good as most D-SLRs. Even so, the S9000 is well put together for a fixed-lens camera, and it should hold up well over time.

 

^oh yea its a great camera, trust me, I work in the technical area where all the cameras get fixed and none of these ever come in... unless ppl drop them :|

Their worst cameras are the point and shoot ones, tehy ALWAYS have lens and CCD problems lol

 

Interesting. I've noted that their pocket P&Ss tend to feel a little on the cheap side, but have pretty good image quality.

Guess you really have to handle them with kid gloves.

 

^lol yea man, the picture quality is actually pretty good on some of them but the A-series cameras for example are horrrrrrible...they're so tender and fragile!
