Apparently if you use tapered lugs with the conical face on a stock rim which requires an acorn face, it will strip the lugnut which happened to one of the guys on their way home from a show. Thats probably what happened to my spoon lugs cause some of the thread came loose.

It's sold. Gunna miss her, but this new one isn't bad at all.

haha ya that was me. :nonono: I used aftermarket aluminum lugs on my ITR wheels last season. DEFINITLY not a good idea! The lugs were eventually all stripped, and it did mess up a couple wheel studs. They did come loose time to time, and i did actually loose one once. I checked them every time i got gas, or stopped or whatever. A huge pain in the a$$ and kind of scary...I have since switched the studs and am using OEM lugs. Much better!

Car looks wicked! I believe my buddy Jake bought your old GSR.

now i see why you sold your old car for another teg. who's car was it before?

96GSR 05-17-2007 03:49 PM

Some "kid" from guelph. "kid" was the nicest name i could think of.

Looked like he tried hard to ruin a nice itr, but i got it from him before he had anymore time.

Some people don't deserve or appreciate Type-Rs for what they are. I hope that you, Matt, will give her a good home (from the sounds of it, I'm sure you will.)

Anything done to it? Any future plans? That's if you care to divulge that information ...

nautica_t YO 05-17-2007 07:53 PM

damn looks good. now when you come to the meet, i'll get you to park next to erick :p

and damn that does suck and the owner came in and chimed in, but i heard spoon makes acorn style, but they are gun metal.
