My Christmas gift from my brother....

Best gift by far... no he did'nt give it to me  I took it for a boot and he said I'm gonna get a chance to rip it at mosport :willy:

Better pics and specs will follow soon, he had his good friend Johnson at Ultimate Racing do his tuning and install, fabricating etc.. he's known the dude before he had Ultimate so needless to say he got a good deal and great work on everything. Johnsons welds are the best I've ever seen! He's only put 30G's into this car ( he paid 8G's for the car itself) and he's at 470+whp @ 17psi after upgrading the turbo this weekend. His goal is to have the fastest S2K in ontario and run 25psi on an internally upgraded motor... although now he's considering dropping a boosted 2JZ in there.

Anyhow long story short, I drove it for about an hour yesterday and this had to be the best experience of my life. Can't wait for the track!!!

(Crappy cam phone pics needed to be ps'd for quality reasons)

He had it shipped from texas, all it needed was a passenger side fender and headlight, and front bumper. His business partner also picked one up at the same time but his was 10G's. Needed a hood and front bumper. They must've had 3 S2K motors laying around so they decided, meh might as well get the car to go with it.... that leaves one more motor hangin around for.... me? :willy:

P.S: If anyone has or knows someone with a C6 Vette, that's the one car he wants to go up against. I think he's ran every car from Stang to Porsche.

The tracks are closed. How's he going to run them?

weiR 12-27-2006 04:31 PM

james at jg-fab is putting down over 600whp on stock internalls but has upgraded the tranny and rear end. he is currently rebuilding the whole car. you can see it on h-t or hmt.

This spring/summer...

weIRtech: I've seen James' setup, it's sick! He's getting some amazing numbers and has plans to be in the 8's and he's only 20 years old.The only problem I have with his setup is that it looks sloppy, but then again function>form and it is unique. I'm even more impressed with that guy from 50/50 with the 2JZ S2K, when all is said and done 1400whp in an S2000 is insane! I have yet to see anybody in Canada do what these 2 guys are doing down south with their S2K's.

^^^ No offence, but the S2k wasn't mean't to be a straight line car, so most people that buy it aren't into drag.

That's why most that are buy something else and mod that instead. So you won't see a lot of people trying to attempt that.

couldn't have said it better myself!

Why would I take offence? My brother is'nt much of a "straight line" kind of guy. He has taken it to Cayuga with his NA setup once and plans on going again this year, but he's already been on the Mosport circuit twice. He's a Formula 1 nut and will probably take it to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve sometime next summer (crosses fingers).

I'll agree the S2K is'nt much of a quarter mile car unless you dump some serious coin into it, but this is his daily driver (in good weather) and I don't think he's up for emptying his wallet. He knows alot of guys that run grand nationals, z24's etc.. at cayuga so if anything he goes there for a good time.

Edit: I just realized maybe you were talking about those 2 guys in the U.S. I know most people won't mod an s2k for straight line purposes which is why I give those guys respect. Pulling 600+ whp out of a 4 cylinder IMO is more impressive than 800whp out of a V8. I just wish i'd see more Honda's out here do what they're doing in the U.S.
