Some pads and rotors for the front...

and last week I laboured for nearly 2 days to clean up and paint my rear callipers. No before pics but here is what they look like now (pads = Cobalt GT-sport):

Very nice! I didn't see any Motul RBF 600 in that list, or ATE.

Dam... I forgot to put the RBF 600 in the pic. I've got 2 bottles sitting on the shelf :)

I run the GT-Sport pads in the rear and the stock pads in the front for the street and find that the Cobalts do dust a little more then the stock pads (which don't seem to dust at all actually) and don't squeel at all.

The GT-Sport compound is more agressive then stock which when matched with my track setup for the front makes for a good brake balance, and when your threshold breaking on the door step of ABS from 180+km/hr thats important. I would normaly run SpecVR pads in the front but Cobalt is out of them right now and doesn't plan on having stock before the Expo. The Carbotech pads that I'll be using are a very comperable pad.

hot digady!!

canttx 04-18-2006 11:08 AM

very nice!
i am slowly getting ready for expo aswell.
looks like your going to be very well prepared.
have you used the kuhmos before? any personal experience on them?

TwoSix 04-18-2006 03:44 PM

noice!

Baby NSX 04-18-2006 06:13 PM

I've run Kumho Victoracers before and found them to be a great R-compound tire. I ran them to the cords and they held up under very demanding conditions... they surprised me.

The V710's are a relatively new tire from Kumho that I have read good things about. The grip level is apparently much higher then the Victoracers. I look forward to testing them out :)

Douglas what brand rotors are those, where did you purchase them and how much.

Baby NSX 04-18-2006 07:24 PM

They are from Centric Parts (see box in the background). I purchased them through Cobalt friction along with rear pads and rotors (also from Centric Parts).

see link: http://www.cobaltfriction.com/produc...dProduct=52718

but my question is... are you comming to the EXPO??

What's next on the mod list for track?

Smartass pHO 04-19-2006 07:01 AM

Those 710s will be done by the end of the weekend.

That is if you actually drive on them, instead of taking pictures..... ;)

ok. thanks. As for the expo, I didn't really even know that this event was occuring. When is it, where is it, who are you going with?

Baby NSX 04-19-2006 11:08 PM

You make me laugh... you have already been to one of these events and recently participated in a thread (in the meet section on this board) regarding the Expo. So how could you not know this was occurring? Well it is!

I know of 3 visible members on this board going including myself as well as the Shadow (Matthew). But there is always room for more!

Check out http://www.itrca.com/ for details

Clearly you spend way too much time surfing the net for kick boxing videos...

Don’t make me have to drive up to Bolton / Nobleton or where ever it is that you live...

I was under the impression there are no more spots for this expo, not even as a guest….

Baby NSX 04-20-2006 07:28 AM

LOL!

The driving spots filled up long ago (not a problem for you as your car never sees the track/rain/road/air... anyway), but the guest registry still has spots available.

Of course your not sure… you haven’t spent anytime looking into it. I visited this really cool site: www.mapquest.ca, you may have heard of it. Anyway I simply put in the destination address and initial address and it almost instantly told me that the trip would take 6-1/2 hours. And it also gave me detailed directions on how to get there :O.
