its known as the CALI Type R conversion, someone who couldn't afford to do a jdm front at the time decided the Acura CL front end looks similar and put it on, or so i would assume

ding ding ding... we have a winner, but from what I have heard, it wasn't because they couldnt afford it, but before they could get the JDM front end down here, they opted for the CL conversion, because it was the closest thing. I may have heard wrong, but either way, you are a winner!
