Base price = 59 K... Way too expensive.... but if I has some extra money, I might consider it.

God I love that car

JEFFOS69 01-30-2006 01:09 PM

Its cool - but not for even close to 59k

Smartass pHO 01-30-2006 01:30 PM

I dunno.

A brand new stook is gonna cost you between 50 and 55. A Z4, SLK350 or Boxster are well over that. Seems like a good deal to me, if you're the right kind of buyer...

What engine are they using these days? It used to be Toyota's 2ZZ-Ge.

Blue Dragon 01-30-2006 01:35 PM

but both of those are more practical than the lotus. Its basically a track car that can be driven on the street. BTW Ryan, wanna give me some AutoX tips come spring time? GC coilovers and sway bars are on their way, and I'll have the car cornerweighted before the first event.

What you do to the car is irrelevant, but I'm sure you've done your homework. Just keep the passenger seat open and I'll offer all the help I can.... :D

Yeah, I got some suspension and rubber for it.

damn i want one. :( i sat in one a few weeks ago at a lotus dealership. for 06 they got the aspen white too. i'm tempted to trade in the R for one. 43K base price in the US, you're better to buy them here and try to import with the way the dollar is :) i'd agree with wayne, the trunks on them are a bit smaller than an s2k so they're that much less practical. esp once you take the top off. the stooks are great for that.. undo clips, push buttons, et voila.

who knows...

oh i test drove an evo this weekend too. fun car. salesman was a bitch though. ha.
