Sobral had an excellent chance but he decided to foolishly chase down Liddell and thats where he went wrong. Liddell has unorthodox very heavy hands that are used mostly for countering. Sobral should have taken his time and that lead to a knockout. Prides fighters would be more of a challenge to Liddell.

That Sobral fight was way to predictable. Dana needs to stop protecting that belt, it's obvious Liddell is the fan fave and the last thing the UFC wants is a Brazilian champ. Hence the reason why Wanderlai is'nt fighting Chuck. Right now I'm waiting on that Franklin vs Silva fight :*****:

It's one of those I'd like to see Ortiz win but Liddell will win... but than again Ortiz is'nt the same Ortiz he use to be. Would be a good fight I think. I don't like either of them so meh.

Not sure why Liddell gets a bad wrap, he has seemed to have beaten some of the best.

Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, as well as Sobral and you just dont beat any of these guys... especially Sobral, he is an excellent fighter...

 

Liddell gets a bad wrap because of his counter-defensive style, and especially because he thumbs his opponents eyes.

Liddell definitely has beaten some of the best... Couture x2, Sobral x2, Ortiz, Overeem, Randleman, Belfort, Horn, Monson, Mezger, Bustamante, Suloev.... yet I still can't stand him and want him to lose badly.

I didn't see that part of it but I heard he did. Haven't talked to him since the fight previous to this one because he got transferred. I know he switched gyms and is training with a guy that I work with.
