pretty good shots, just pay more attention on the lighting source
maybe use timer when u shoot in such condition
and you could focus it bit better :)

Fuzzy, we talked about lighting, think how the shadows are going to fall when you take the picture. Also, shoot raw, you can adjust the exposure and the brightness (two different things). There is also a filter in PS called unshapen mask (USM), use it to make the pictures pop

if you decide not to shoot raw, can you just adjust the shutter and/or aperture(sp) settings?

i know when i take night shots i leave the shutter open longer but have to use a tripod cuz my hands aren't always statue still.

ednyboo 12-08-2007 11:11 AM

^ i suggest u to use a tripod if the shutter speed is any slower than 1/15th of a second
unless you have amazing nice firm hands~
and yeah u always gotta adjust shutter/aperture on every different situations
but the advantage of shooting Raw is that you can get details back on the highlights thats burnt out(over exposed) or the shadow details that you cant see(under exposed). plus if u shot with wrong white balance,, u can also adjust that on Raw window ect ect~~so if you really want a good quality shot, shoot in raw~

mark, try turning down the apature, the lower number the apature, the more light is let in, if you pic is being over exposed, then turn up the apature, and raise the iso. (someone correct me if i'm wrong)
