Just a few pics from today...
Nothing too much special but I haven't shared many pics in a while...
These were taken in my back yard this afternoon: http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/IMG-0120-4461.jpg http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/IMG-0120-4466.jpg http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/IMG-0120-4474.jpg http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/IMG-0120-4488.jpg And for those not keeping up on Honda-Tech... With the help of Trenell, Bryan, Paul, and Mike I got the engine fired up last weekend. All went well... the new engine sounds very good and I now await the warmer weather so that I can start the tuning. Initial compression tests after running the engine came out 283,283,283,280psi. My old engine last measured 180psi across the board so I'm pretty pleased with the new numbers... here are a couple pics of the engine from las weekend: Rocker wear after 20 minutes of running. http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/Eng...-0113-4456.jpg And the whole engine with the valve cover off. http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/Eng...-0113-4458.jpg A couple more pics from the day (not taken by me :P) http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/d6.jpg http://www3.sympatico.ca/babynsx/pics/d8.jpg |

I don't like looking at your pictures for one reason Doug....
It makes my R feel inadequate. J\K Pics are awesome. Your engine bay is as sexy as Jessica Alba on a hot summers day licking an ice cream cone. |

I honestly can't get over how clean that engine bay is. Wow. Good work on the progress thus far.
|
Sorry I didn't come out for the fun Doug.
I heard that Rachel had Trenell reading books to her...lol I did watch the video that Trenell took with my camcorder! and I definitely like the new facial hair....:yeah: |

While most hard parker’s actually use these as cosmetic pieces they actually serve two purposes when used on race cars. 1st: They absorb water and keep the reservoir drier which is very important because it reduces the moister exposed to the break fluid. Break fluid (particularly racing fluids) absorb moister very quickly and become useless. 2nd: When cornering very hard the brake fluid can leak out a little and the socks absorb this fluid and stop it from spilling on the paint. Brake fluid will eat through paint very quickly. |
gotcha, very nice, i've always wonderd why those were there.

I've been running with the stock radiator/coolant since day one. I also run with the Mugen thermostat. Engine temperatures have never been a big issue for me. I'm not sure how the new engine will behave, but I'll be data logging the sessions and comparing. |
