How I spent my weekend
I was debating between Honda Tech meet and this, decided on this since I had a couple of vip passes. Pics aren't anywhere close to good quality, old camera and no skills own me. But I thought I'd share. Mosport, Aug 26, 2007.
I got there early and browsed through booths.
Porsches ready to go.
Realtime Racing Booth.
Peter Cunningham (Realtime #42) gave us a quick presentation. TSX "interior".
Enkei on RA1 FTW!!
Cunningham: "We found stock NSX air box the most suitable for our needs."
This isn't rice.
Truly yours and Peter Cunningham.
Realtime drivers. In half an hour these gentlemen would be ripping it on the track.
Cars rolling out of booth. Techs drive them to the start line.
Start.
Looks like pajamas.
STRTLGL and David Brabham (Highcroft Acura #9). 1 hr before he got behind the wheel.
I had a chat with Peter Cunningham before and after the race. Asked him about the most memorable platform he's run on and he said it was NSX (I honestly thought he'd say G2 or G3 Integra), asked him about his experience with G2 Integra rally car in 1993, asked him about his personal vehicles and, of course, asked him for an autograph. The best part of this conversation was when his wife called and started asking him about how the race went and how he did and how everything was. He showed me her picture on his iPhone and said he got these phonecalls after each race.
This was one of the most exciting days of this summer for me!

there at mosport and different events all the time. Been to Mosport twice this season so far thanks to Ryan.
Hell I was drooling over the car when it was at an undisclosed bodyshop in full race trim. Could see all the gadgets and what not up close.

Nice, Tom. Did you walk around the track at all? Or did you stay along the main straight? Turns 5a and 5b have tons of action there - we've seen a few spinoffs there. Turn 2 is another good spot.
Just a tip - drive your car around. Walking in sand sucks.

^I walked a bit but didn't go around the track. We were seated at the start line, there wasn't much action there, however watching the cars take of was also quite exciting. I know there were 2 minor accidents during SCCA and a serious one during LMP but it was far from where I was. Plus, there was cold beer in our corporate tent so I didn't wanna be too far from there.
