Did some work today :) I put in the new Skunk 2 bolt. Added on all the stickers. Changed the oil. ahhh. Feels good. Feels good to have tools a jack and jackstands, and a nice afternoon/evening to do some work.
And yea the OEM bolt isn't magnetic Martin. the skunk 2 bolt is also longer by a bit. I'll put the Tranny bolt in whenever i need to do my Tanny fluid. It gone done i Dec so I wont need it done for a bit. Pics Pics :) OEM Bolt vs. Skunk2 magnetic bolt.

If you notice my "tripometer" is all weird. I broke it a day or so ago. I was getting gas and I always reset it when I fill the tank. And as I pressed it, it got stuck and then the numbers all spun out. Now it doesnt move or reset. :( ALSO, im looking for the plastic that covers the cluster. Mine seems to have some marks on it that arent coming off whatsoever. Would wet sanding solve it? I thought i was water marks but its not. Its stuck there good And yea yea, i see the sub wire. I tucked it in after. For the plastic cover, just get 2000+ wet/dry sandpaper and lense restorer. works great as long as you have a power ball or some sort of small polisher. otherwise rubbing the stuff hard by hand will work also. |
The OEM oil drain isnt magnetic, I tested it out. The Skunk 2 one is a really strong magnet and its also longer. As for the tripometer, I didnt try to spin it back, the actual button that resets it doesnt move anything anymore. So im assuming theres no more spring? I dont know. Id have to take appart the entire cluster to get the spring back in that button

WTG on getting new rims.
|
|
how much were they. and wherd u get em
|
Enough
and Dont worry ;) Not at option though |
im gona steal them on sunday when your not looking:P
na. i used to hav a black set for 60$. like 2 years ago. but i swapped over to the long ones |
a set of Works don't go for 60. Lol. Blox go for 90 and those are shitty. I was gonna get Rays, but they didn't have them in red :( But whateeeevs, Work, Rays , same ----.
|
i bought them used. they go for like 140 new.
i cant find ur post where u said what rims ur gettin |
The lugs are on now. I was gonna clean my rims some more, but I decided not to due to the rain and me needing to have my garage open. I need to strip my front passengers side rim to take out everything. And that would take hours to clean 1 wheel + alot of wet sanding and the polish. So ill wait till it gets warmer for that or when I have more time.
Rims wont be so clean for the cruise tomorrow due to the rain . so I'm gonna leave it as is |
bring the ---- 2morro. i cant even count how many rims i stripped.
|
We'll see it tomorrow. I got everything here too. Paint stripper, steel wool, 800- 2000 grit sand paper, Mothers Aluminum polish. The whole deaaaaaal. I just need time to get around to it.
|
Yea if ur down, bring it 2morro.
|
Rays are way better then works lol maybe just cause i got rays extended lugs and i love them. i got mine for 70 bucks used and that is a steal in itself. ya but those lugs look good just gotta see what rims you are using. post them up on monday when you guys finish the swap i wanna see them and i wont see them in person for at least a month.

Rims time!
So I havent taken a pic or told you guys what rims I got. I didnt get anything to fancy. Just something clean and classic.
I got my self GSR Blades with new rubber. 195/50/15 in the front and 205/50/15 in the rear. I got the rims and tires for a STEAL!. While I was picking them up there were a few guys contacting the seller that they were on their way to get them. But lucky for me , I was there first ;) So here they are. My cleaaaaaan ass GSR blades. hard to find a clean set but I found 'em :) These pics are with the rims a little dirty from the rain. So Imagine after I wash them and put some polish ;) WOOOOT http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6579.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6580.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/.../DSCN6581w.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/.../DSCN6571w.jpg |

So my rad is on its way out. It cant seem to hold all the coolant longer than 2 days, it just leaks it out slowly
Weekend will be Rad install day. |

|
ya nice alminum half rads are sweet and are so much better then oem thinking of gettin g one of them since im running the stock Rad :(.
Looking forward to seeing some pics. Enjoy. |
Yea, Option wont have the rad till monday if I order it now. Not sure if I even wanna get a Mishimoto one, because from what I know, the fans dont fit the Mishimoto one, so i'll have to buy the Mishimoto ones too. Might just pick one up at partsource. I just need a rad, loool.
|
true true. ya with fans that would get kinda pricy
|
So my rad finally went on its last few kms cooling the car. It finally went kaboom and it couldn't seem to hold coolant longer than an hour.
So I installed a new one :) New :) http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...//DSCN6593.JPG Crustiness of the old Radiator http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6595.JPG My 291,827 KM Road Warrior Radiator, VS my Virgin never touched Rad. http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6600.JPG And Rad installed and random Driveway shot. Here's to another 291,827 Km's http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6601.JPG With it, my leaking problems are gone, so are my crazy temp readings going up and down. :) yay. |

|

|
Lol yaaaaa, Lets just say it still runs, sadly shes gonna need a new tranny (This will be her 3rd god dammit) so for now its parked until I figure out what I'm gonna do. I'm surprised no one has harped on me yet about the mustang, man that thing is slow as tits lol. Atleast its stick though.
|
So I havent updated this in a while. My SIR-G fogs are in,but thats about it.
Not alot has happened with my Teg due to some work stuff and such. But ill update the pics of before and after anything happened with the teg BEFORE http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSC01111.JPG AFTER http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/p...0/IMG_8725.jpg BEFORE http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0228091323.jpg AFTER http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/p...0/IMG_8720.jpg BEFORE http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSC01122.JPG AFTER http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/8/...0/DSCN6537.JPG I know I included a bunch of other guys cars in it, but its the only ones from the different points of view. None the less, the car is gonna be staying the way it is for a while, as hopefully paint and body issues get resolved slowly. I've had the car for a year now, and it shows the progress starting from September (when I started doing ----), till now. Its been slow as i'm 18 and funds arent crazy high, but im satisfied with what has been done so far for the time being. Nevertheless, you guys will see my teg everywhere at these TI meets :) |
gotta love silver tegs nice work bro
