2007 VW Scirocco - Why?

So ugly....

Berlin, Germany - Volkswagen has presented the world premiere of its Iroc concept vehicle, which it calls "reinterpretation" of the Scirocco that it unveiled 33 years ago in Geneva.

The Iroc sportscar features an extremely long roof and comparatively steep rear end, seating for four with space for luggage, and "Viper Green" metallic paint, in homage to a shade used on the first-generation Scirocco; the 210 hp engine is twin-turbocharged and uses Volkswagen's DSG direct shift gearbox. The roof contains a dark tinted glass panel supported by a carbon-covered structure, and the car rides on 19-inch light-alloy rims.

European = relatively overpriced
American = sporadic reliability issues
Japanese = relatively good quality for somewhat of a good price

i figured that with japanese based car manufacturers doing so well the past couple of years and the big 3 american manufacturers constantly reporting quarterly losses would indicate that japanese carmarkers do have an idea of what is going on in the world. duh.

Japenese makers are one of the few that's showing profits. There was a big article on it about 3 months ago in the papers.

Pretty much the only car honda made indicated in the article that didn't sell well enought was the insight, that's why they made the civic hybrid.

I like it too apart from the colour.

PoST_PiMP 08-29-2006 08:52 PM

I agree, it looks good but the color is gross. I'd much rather rock the Rabbit tho, now that's a nice looking car!:rockon:

I've purchased my first Euro car and I must say, much better comfort wise, reliable, and it's got balls too. I may just keep buying euro, everyone and their granny is rockin a japanese car.
